Which one worked for you?

I'm wondering if RR and CK are products that you (generally speaking) only like one or the other of. Hmm..that didn't sound right, but the poll should make sense. It's just an 'out of interest' thing. And I like doing polls.

Amneris 03-30-2005 03:01 PM

there needs to b a "neither" option and a "haven't tried them" or "have only tried one" option.

Mip 03-30-2005 03:05 PM

I did put in a 'neither' option, but it didn't come up! Grrr!

I didn't put in options for haven't tried either or only tried one, because this poll is specifically for those who have tried both. I'm just interested to see if the products are an either/or thing.

Oh, OK.
I tried both and didn't like either of them.

I *hated* Curl Keeper.

Love RR. I'm currently out, and missing the curl enhancement big time!

I bought and used both. I used RR longer than CK. But I am anti layering lately. Both are good products, but not good enough for me to go back to. My hair is so thick that I went through a bottle of RR every 3-4 weeks. Ck lasted longer but I could not stand the smell ( I have a Bionic Nose). Ck also made my hair feel weird, kind of plasticy. RR always felt fine. Again, its my whole aversion to layering philosophy lately. Check back in a few months :?

I prefer RR. CK does have a very odd, synthetic smell and I recall it making my hair feel strange too like miacurl said. I did just get a 2nd 8oz bottle of it to try it again to see if I feel differently about it. I know before I finished the last bottle I was reaching for my RR again.

I like both of them, for different reasons. I like CK because it seems to add lots of extra definition for me and reduced frizz quite a bit. I'm one to layer one or two products together, and I love that CK layers with anything. It's also really easy to distribute, which is great for a clutz like me. The scent isn't my favorite, but after it dries I don't notice it.

RR is really good for curl enhancement, but the drawback is that I need a lot of it to distribute through my hair. It works pretty well with either a gel or with the CCSS for me, though I do have a hard time figuring out how much of each to use. I've had a lot of great hair days with RR, though, and I love Jessicurl's scents.

I hated Curl Keeper and I love RR. I recently had an RR crisis and it wasn't working for me. It was a crisis because that was my hg. My hg can't quit working! I panicked but came to realize it was a weather thing. Now that spring is here, I should be able to expect another nine months of happy RR usage.

Rockin' Ringlets worked very well for me when my hair was above my shoulders, but now that it's mid-back I have found that CHS Curl Keeper + KMS Bounce Back spray works better. My curly hair always seems to be evolving. ;)

I voted both. First I put CK on soaking wet hair, its like my (cone free)frizz serem I was so addicted to before CG. Then I mix RR with Volumax gel. I do this because my hair is so thick and long. The RR I love but is thin and takes a lot of it, the Volumax has great shine and its thick, so I mix it 50/50. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go RR all the way but its so thin my dry thick hair soaks it up and its not easy on the wallet especially when you have IMO outrageous shipping charges. That comment is not intended for any one company, its everywhere, I guess the gas prices are causing this. I can get a liter of Volumax at Sallys for around $6. Hope this helps.
