I need volume!

I'm in serious need of volume! So I'm guessing mousse would be the way to go? But I would need some kind of cream-based leave-in underneath, I'm guessing, because my hair is naturally very dry.

I see some #bs and #cs like Joico JoiWhip and Paul Mitchell and a few others. But most have said they didn't notice any changes in volume from using it...and some implied they were happy there was no increased volume.

Well, I WANT volume!!! But no dryness. What would you suggest? I don't think pinning w/ clips and bobby pins would help me too much because my hair is on the longer side...and I don't really know how to do it. I'd be willing to learn but I'd prefer a volume-enhancing product. CG-friendly, please.
3b (with 3c tendencies) on modified CG

I got a ton of volume from Joiwhip. Not exactly what I was looking for which is why I don't use it.
3b/c fine, thick, porous, protein sensitive
Modified CG, CJ Rehab, JCWDT, KCKT, VO5 Chamomile Tea Therapy, CJDF, HEBE Gel/Mousse, Bioinfusion Rosemary Mint shampoo, occasional protein

I get more volume from LOOB. It was unintended, but kinda cool.
Kiva! Microfinance works.

Med/Coarse, porous curly.
Actually used LOOB for the 1st time today - gave me lots of volume w/o using mousse.

Sorry, whats LOOB?
light brown, 3B at the crown, with 3A underneath. Beyond baby-fine and cut in a layered bob, which I am trying to grow out.

No matter how hard you try to hide them, your inner curls will always come out. Why not make them look good?
Sorry, whats LOOB?
