Is there any product similar to re:coil?

I ran myself out of re:coil because I had (2) local beauty supplies that sold it. I went to both of them yesterday and they were out! I have a tube on the way but used the very last drop of the one I had this morning. Is there anything comparable that I can pick up today at a beauty supply or store?

How was your shopping trip? Did you find anything? There is something that is supposed to be good by noodlehead but it has cones, I've used it a long time ago and it definitely reminds me of recoil, even the smell and consistency, etc. but not sure if you are staying away from cones (I'm trying to *again*!)

I just discovered Loreal Out of Bed cream and I really like it. I was a re:coil lover for many months. And I think (so far...based on only two days of use) that LOOB is as close to re:coil as I've found. Both are CG friendly.

I'd leave a tiny bit of conditioner in under the LOOB though because it's a touch less moisturizing than re:coil.

IMO, neither re:coil nor LOOB needs a gel or anything else over it.

I've never seen LOOB in Target but it was in CVS.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was able to scrape a tiny bit more of re:coil out my tube this morning, but I that is it. I am staying away from cones so I will probably pick up LOOB. I'll check at Wal-mart on my lunch break. We don't have a CVS nearby so I hope they have it there.

Thanks again.

I couldn't find LOOB. After my shower this morning I was really wondering how my hair would turn out without using re:coil or something before my gel. I rembered I still have B'Leave-in in my cabinet. I could never get it to work before but I thought I'd give it a try and apply it like I do my re:coil. My results = great curls! I was really surprised and pleased.

I'm not going to replace the re:coil but I can use the B'Leave-in until I get more re:coil. :happy7:

bahhhh, I've soured a little on the LOOB since yesterday. So I might have to rescind my reccommendation. Other curlies here like it, though. But i found my hair felt pretty dry by the end of the day.

Sorry for wasting your time! LOL

Call me crazy but I think Regis Curl Lock Cream is similar. It does have a 'cone (or two?), though.

B'Leave In does work great, but I find after one or two uses the protein starts to get to me big time.

I keep trying to find different ways to use the LOOB, but to no avail.

Awhile back on the Product Review board, there was a thread on Suave's Anti-friz Cream working like Re:coil. I tried it and it thought it was pretty similar to Re:coil. It might do until you can get some more. It's part of the Fresh Curls knockoff line in the greenish tube.

My re:coil came in on Friday so I only had one day without (thankfully). I liked the B'Leave-in but by the end of the day my hair felt greasy.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Now that I know my beauty supply quit selling re:coil, I'll make sure I order it well before I run out.
