The phenyl trimethicone sounds like a cone to me but I'm not 100% positive on that.

It is a cone and it's not water soluble. You will need a sulfate shampoo to remove it. I was very sad about this b/c that is an unbelievable HG product.
Here is my info source:

The chart says you can get rid of it with cocobetaine -- that's a lot milder than a sulfate 'poo, isn't it?
I've had a couple of tubes of that aging in my closet for years. I don't know if I even tried it, but I was "straight" back then anyway. How did you like to use it and what did it do for you? Maybe I'll give it a whirl -- I have a bottle of TJ nourish 'poo (cocobetaine), and it's such a nice product that I sometimes wish I had a reason to use it!
I also have a bottle of Frizzease 5-Minute Manager Blow-Dry Spray -- know anything about that one? I believe it's CG but I haven't used it either.

I don't think anything in the Frizzease line is technically CG, but without seeing the ingredients I could be wrong... And the chart does say that Cocobetaine would get it out, but it also says that it would get all of the cones out... I'm not so sure about that. I have had to use a harsher poo at times with some of those. That said, I would probably try it and see how it does. If you end up needing to poo, just do a DT after.

Well I tried that b/c I didn't want to give up my cones. I used the MopTop shampoo (=cocobetaine, no SLS) and it stripped my hair pretty badly.
If you want to use it on curls apply it to them when they are totally dry and it reduces frizz and defines curls in a huge way. I never left home w/out it and got plenty of compliments.
Sometimes I consider quitting CG b/c of Secret Weapon.I miss it that much.
