Alternative to LOOB, for similar results???

Hi curly wurlies!

Having gained such fabbo results from LOOB, I started using it regularly, as part of my styling routine. Sadly, after many good hair days, I have found my hair has become very dry, most likely a result of the denatured alcohol. But the results have been so good, I really don't want to quit !!!! (sounds like addiction to me LOL)

Soo, has anyone got any recommendations for some kind of styling product that seems to have similar properties, but without the drying agent? Gels, thick or thin, seem to make my hair somewhat stringy when compared with this stuff.

Any help gratefully accepted. Stuff that is available easily in Uk would be best!

Thanks in advance

Liz xx

But then again, too few to mention...
Do they still have the LOOB in the white jar? I'm assuming you've got the black jar?
The white jar doesn't have alcohol.
But I'm going to jump in here and ask the question I was going to post before I saw this one...
the LOOB in the white jar has dimethicone in it. Will Jessicurl GLS get it out? Or do I need something stronger?

And LOOB stands for, Loreal out of bed. It's a thick cream type styler.

L'oreal Out of Bed Cream. You can find a long thread about it in the Product Reveiws section.

A lot of people have said LOOB and re:coil are similar. Could you use that? Maybe you just need a better leave-in. Have you tried using less?

Currently: Trying to stop straightening so much. Using Elucence conditioner and whatever works for me.

I was thinking re:coil, i think it is similar to LOOB only better. It's pretty pricey but i only use 2 pea size globs so the tube lasts a long time.

I'll use less tomorrow, and maybe more condish left in. I tend to put pink Boots in under the LOOB too, maybe more may help.

Thanks for the ideas

Darby - the cone in the white jar LOOB is PEG modified, so it's water soluble. Both versions (white and black) are CG as far as I know. I've never seen a blue jar.

My jar of LOOB is pale blue too.

I think the packaging is different for different markets. The blue packaging is EU/UK. I googled it and the Ulta website showed black packaging:

If you find it a tad drying, how about layering a leave in conditioner underneath? Bumble and Bumble springs to mind. I need to get another bottle of that - I've run out ARRRrrgggghhhhhh!
Hey, how about Pink Boots? I have never tried it but i think i read somewhere that it is similar.....

Zelda- have you checked the board for Eurocurlies? Here are 2 threads that might help you find stuff in the UK more easily.
