Default Name Your HG Gel....

I have been using Herbal Essences Body Envy...and its ok, nothing spectacular. I could take it or leave it I guess. It gives me a descent hold, actually a bit more "crunch" than I would like.

I was wondering what gels you wonderful curlies use that you couldn't live without.

Thanks in advance!

Oh...and would you mind indicating next to your choice if it is protein free? Thanks a million!

Well, my HG Gel was Suave Naturals Anti Frizz Smoothing Gel with Aloe Extract...but it was discontinued.

I'ved used several gels since then and didn't get the same results as I did with the Suave...

But, right now I am using LA Looks Durahold Gel...although it's not the same as Suave, it's doing a good job keep my curls smooth and frizz free. Just wish it clumped my curls the way the Suave gel did.

I decided to experiment with mousse for a while. The top part of my hair always looks like my french poodle's used to, no matter what I use. Actually, my poodle used to look better.

I guess my hair has a long way to grow....

Yep, me, too. I've stopped using gel entirely. Now I use Jessicurl Rockin' Ringlets only, and am very happy with the results.

Batia & Aleeza Bio-mineral gel, or Sebastain Hi-contrast when I need more hold.

It has been HE Set Me Up (protein free), but I've just started using and LOVING Fuzzy Duck. Not sure about the protein though.

Mop Top Anti-Frizz Gel (finally figured out that I can enough hold with this as long as I use a LOT -- even using tons of this, I get less crunch than Fuzzy Duck)

Fuzzy Duck

Abba Weightless Gel
