And John Frieda's Dreamcurls Spray? GAR-BAGE! That crap left my curls stringy, stiff and sticky. Disgusting..

ugh john frieda.... his curl spray was the worst and his "moisturizing" shampoos? forget it! unless you go for that charming bird's nest look.... even his color glazes leave your hair feeling like straw. how is that ppl are allowed to make crap products?

And I read here that a few people hated the Samy's line...me too. And also KMS curling spray...it was so drying and smelled awful!
3B and proud of it!
for me it's mixed chicks - smell was too much for me, left me with dull frizzy coated curls 90% of the time the random times it worked it did look good but who wants bad hair days 90% of the time.

KMS styling products - loved the smell and the shampoo and conditioner worked well but the stylers? crap.

John Frieda dream curls - it wasn't that bad, providing i mixed it with something moisturizing, cause all that "non sticky non stringy, crispy " that was printed on it was exactly what i got if i used it alone, and using it on damp or dry hair?? no thank you.

boots curl cream, the pink and the white. Don't know exactly what i didn't like about it, but it was horrible
Long thick curls, mix of 3b/3c
Curls Rock Amplifier - really expensive crunch and stinks
Don't like their shampoo or conditioner either, infact I don't like anything I have tried from TIGI, it seems to be all fur coat and no knickers!
Struggling with my 2a/b hair.
I live in the UK help!!!
A YUK for Samy here too. I used the potion that came in the upside down bottle. Crap. Then I also used the cream/balm whatever it was that came in the tube. And the condish. Frizzy crispy crunchy mess.
John Freida...I agree with the other poster that said people like him shouldn't be allowed to make prods for curly hair. Even the frizz serum was terrible, and doubly whammy because it's pretty expensive too. I mean $7 for a 2oz bottle of silicones??? No Thank You. The condish has no slip or moisturizing props, the leave in spray made my hair even drier than without it. How is that possible? There is that one serum in the bigger bottle, can't remember the name but when I used it, it flaked so bad it looked like I had put talcum powder in my hair. No joke.
Zero Frizz brand is bad too. The spray made my hair more greasy and oily than if I'd used straight olive oil.
Frizz Buster--like using a clear version of motor oil on my head.
Cincinnati Ohio>>>Coarse protein sensitive 3a, Jessicurl WDT as a leave in, Biotera gel, White Boots, PW= coffeecurls

"Man tries to exaggerate what nature has given him," Charles Darwin (1809-1882).

"Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful." -Sophia Loren
LOOB - I hate the smell and it does nothing but make my hair gunky.
"What's the good of having naturally curly hair if nobody's jealous?" Freida - Peanuts

KCNT and KKCC
Oh, forgot about Zero Frizz. I think my mom got it for me once thinking maybe it would help. Yuck! And I did try Curls Rock Amplifier too. Don't remember exactly why it was bad but I know I didn't keep using it. Also V05 Curvacious Curls mousse was crap too. Used it once, gave it away. Big frizzy, dry mess. For awhile I had a curly co-worker that I would just give my products too if I didn't like them. Then she could see if they worked for her.
Hair Type: mix of 3's, growing out an angled bob, color-treated red.
Current products: GVP conditioning balm for co-wash and leave in, Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle, Pattern Pusha and Garnier Anti-humidity hairspray
Location:Sunny Florida
Hair idol: Kimberly Schlapman from Little Big Town
I know this will sound like sacrilege, but Jessicurl products were gross on me. I had really stringy, barely curly, greasy limp things on the sides of my head. The RR was especially bad. Oh, and the products (even the frangrance-free ones) broke my skin out. I know I'm not a complete freak, though because I had nasty experiences with John Frieda and L'oreal, just like everyone else.
CON shampoo. Me and my hair just hate it.
Coily and cute.

4something-ish
Also L'Oreal's "Springing Curls" mousse, which turned my hair into a pile of iron sausages. Do they even make this anymore??
I believe they do, but the whole line has been repackaged. I actually used to use it in High School, but at the time it worked well.

John Frieda Dream Curls did nothing for me, but then I've learned that my hair doesn't respond well to most things I add after it's dry.

Curls Rock left my hair feeling like I'd put glue in it , but to be fair, that was before I found nc.com - it might have worked better with the knowledge I have now.

2b/3a and 3b on occasion!
Products: The hair aisle in my own cabinets.
Best definition winner: KCCC
Best volume winner: LOOB
Let's see...The garnier leave in for curls is the most recent, I tried it hoping to get something cheap and local that worked, and instead I got hard, dry, plastic curls! Not sexy to say the least.

I also didnt like Nature's Gate Aloe Condish...it did well the first time but after that it made my hair dry and tangled.

The product that hands down actually turned me onto THIS website (out of sheer frustration over what the heck to do with my hair!!!) was....

Pureology Instant Repair Leave-in Conditioner

I went to the store looking for a leave-in and this is what was recommended to me. $29 of pure nastiness!!! The "conditioner" was actually a clear, slimey gel that left my hair (and hands!) extremely sticky with flakes galore. I don't even recall the ingredients because back then (before CG), "who cared about ingredients?"! The claims on the bottle were enough for me!!!

I returned it the very next day...googled "curly hair products"....found this site...and the rest is history!!!!!!! A much less "sticky" albiet no less expensive history!!!
Rose
BiRacial Curly Girl
Mostly 3B...with one or two 3C ringlets!
Currently Loving: SheaMoisture Leave-in, CK, re:coil (only 1-2x per week), Hypo Allergenic Gel. Still Looking for that HG Conditioner though....

Charles Worthington's straightening balm. NASTY. It smelled like an 80 year old man's aftershave ..

But then again, too few to mention...
Another vote for Curls Rock Amplifier - made my hair feel coated in hard plastic.
Mishy (color-treated, thick, 2b/2c, several inches below shoulder length, long layers).
Mane 'n' Tail - ghee whiz I can't stand that stuff!
