Sorry, my head is spinning a little so I will not be checking out any shampoo any time soon......
But once I get my faculties together, I will let you know if I find it so if you want to buy it too you know where to get it.

Oh, please, no need to apologize for posting huge pictures of the delicious and utterly tasty Johnnnny Depp
As Cehua put it, "WE DESERVE HIM" :P :P
Oh yes, great name change Cehua!! It's more accurate now, and I notice that voting has really, ahem, picked up

I didn't read the whole thread (good lord - how did it get so long! ) but I was gonna suggest the BWC since I've been so happy with it - then I saw that it's on your "pass"list because of availability.
I've heard good things about MOP C-System hydrating shampoo, but again, there is the availability and expense question ...
Also, have you considered anything from Aveda? My stylist always uses Shampure on me, and my hair is always happy after the salon - no more three days of "shampoo shock" after a cut, like back in the day.
Anway, hope you find something you like.
The Giovanni you will find to be just as drying as the TJ's Nourish - they are nearly identical in fomulation, and I've tried and disliked both for that reason.
HTH!
M
ETA: I figured out how it got so long!!!! Dios mio! Talk about eyecandy!

CEHUA-
As for your shampoo search, why not purchase a bunch of sample or trial travel size shampoos at Sally's, Sephora, Whole Foods, etc... That way you don't have to invest too much money but can try a lot of different things and find something that suits your finicky hair!!! I know that Whole Foods carries a TON of travel size health and beauty items.
Good luck!

You are right curltopia (gosh it is so hard to write that ). I do plan to go to Sephora (perhaps tomorrow) to get samples. I still would like to get people's opinions because my hair does not like PJ-ism. It goes crazy. It has a true cancer personality--it does not like change LOL!
Here is some more yummy pictures! There is something about the way he “holds” his mouth that makes me swoon. My favorite is the large one I posted above but these are still hot.

Thanks I may try it. Wavymecurly usually suggests good products. I am also thinking about the Philosophy Milkshake. It looks so rich.

The more I look at Johnny the more I realize that my bf looks like an Arab version of Johnny (especially the big picture)! But my bf chose me girls; I did not make the first move . Maybe I prayed for Johnny a long time ago and I go my baby instead. Not a bad deal!
I would post pictures of him but I do not want all of you curlies swooning over him LOL.
:P

I should not be having this much fun on the Internet while my bf is away. But seeing Johnny is like having him near.
I am a little frustrated that people keep choosing Nature’s Gate Organics Chamomile & Lemon Verbena Shampoo but are not telling me *why* I should buy it. Maybe they go to post but they just swoon when they see Johnny and by the time they wake up, they no longer remember what they were doing in this thread in the first place. I know that has happened to me……..
Right now I am thinking about the MOP C System C-SYSTEM Hydrating shampoo Mayim told me about or just going back to my AO Island Fantasy.
I thought about ABBA Moist Creme but someone on the Product Review (under Curl411) said that it was not for the protein sensitive and I do not want to risk a protein overload each time I wash my hair.
BTW, Mayim if you are still on this thread could you tell me where you bought your BWC. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place. TIA

Yes - sorry ... that's exactly what happened to me: I got all caught up in the swooning and forgot to post an answer to your Q!
Anyway, I got the BWC at my natural foods co-op. I would think most of them would carry it.

Did you go to a chain health food store or one of your local mom and pop ones? Do you think Whole Foods would have it? Also, which BWC shampoo do you recommend? TIA Mayim
Here is something else to swoon over (but do not forget to reply to my post first ):
All right, this is my last Johnny picture so enjoy. Meu Deus, that man is HOT!

mmmmmmmm ...... ahhhhh ......
oh *cough* *cough* ahem !
Um ... to answer your question, I get mine at a small co-op. I would think that whole foods or wherever would have it, though.
The BWC shampoo I'm using is the Moisture Plus. It has coco-betaine as a cleanser, and SLES (the gentlest sulfate, supposedly) in the middle of the list, and lots of moisturizing ingredients. I don't find it to be drying at all (I only use a bit, and dilute it some) - and my hair usually reacts really badly to sulfates and surfactants in general. Plus it has a light ylang-ylang scent, which I totally dig.
HTH!

Mayim if you have not already passed out from looking at all of the Johnny Depp pictures :
My Organic Market (a local food co-op) sells BWC!!!!
I am going to pick some up today. Hey, what do you think of their conditioners for a wash out?
Obrigada Mayim
