Any advice on how to get a 40s-inspired hairstyle? I'm doing a show that it would be perfect for, and want to try to learn it without an appointment with a stylist. I've never attempted a style like that, and any direction or pointers would be appreciated.

i think in the 1940's they did a lot of curly updo ponytail stuff. the last homecoming dance was themed 1940's and i told the salon that, and this is what they came up with

i didnt like it very much, it looked okay sometimes but later on it looked aweful
