I have been tenderly taking care of my curls for two years now, just condition washing, being gentle, etc. etc. and coloring with Robet Craig. I never brush my hair ever anymore. Well, today I was on a TV show and the hair person insisted that my curls had to be tamed a bit for TV and I was too unnerved to speak up, but she took a curling iron to them. She also used hair spray, which I NEVER use. This is just one time--and just for a few seconds for each curl, but already I am panicking. If I deep condition, will the damage be gone?

I would think that the damage should be minimal. Do you poo at all? If not, do you know if she used any products with cones in them, b/c if she did you may need a poo to get rid of them. You could do a deep condition, but if you tend to overcondition easily, this may do it seeing as this was only one time. I'm sorry that this happened to you! I know it is so hard to speak up for your hair sometimes b/c no matter what you say, the info just can not sink in for some people! HTH!

Thank you, Jaxie. I don't know if there were cones. I think I will lightly wash and condition, and yes, what a lesson. Now I have to speak up for myself more. I was just so shocked and it was so fast!
