Default Re:coil - am I the only one?

I just swapped away my recoil for CO Bigelow condish (which I'm loving today). I feel like I'm the only person this didn't work for. I'm wondering if maybe its secretly the best product ever and I just didn't play with it enough. I used so little, but it always seemed like too much.

I have waves that are verging on curls and would like to encourage them, but not dry them out. Are there other suggestions? I was thinking of ordering some boots.

Nope, didn't work for me either - or as you said, I just didn't find the right combo for it. CO Bigelow didn't work for me either though. Boots, one of my staples, year round!!

ETA: Forgot to make some suggestions. BRHG is one that many people swear by for curls. HE Set Me Up - gives me good curls. Have you tried plopping? That usually encourages curls : )

ETA: How could I forget my new favorite?! Fuzzy duck. And, if you like mousse at all, Joiwhip is good.

None of the Jesse Curl line worked for me either! I really wanted it to and it smelled so good too!

When y'all say it didn't work, what does that mean? Did it succeed in some ways and flop in others? Was it completely ineffective but harmless, or did it cause specific problems, e.g., tangles, dryness, etc.?

It works for me just fine, but I can't use it on a regular basis because my hair doesn't like magnesium sulfate. I get a lot of frizzies and start feeling dry.

Here's how stubborn I am! It doesn't work for me either...I've tried it numerous ways and am determined to continue trying until I find what works for my curls. This is my second tube, I gave away the first, but HAD to purchase it again.

You sound just like me! I am bound & determined to make stuff work SOMEHOW! I keep telling myself, "GIVE IT UP, ALREADY!!" But nooooooo, I have to keep trying different combos or find other uses for it.

ETA: typos - oops!

For me, it didn't do anything bad, but it didn't add anything either. No worse, no better.

No matter how I apply: a little, a lot, with another gel, w/condish, to soaking wet hair or scrunching the crunch it is too heavy for my hair. But I refuse to give up...winter is coming we'll see how it works then, I hear it does better in cooler months..

I don't know what BRHG is. Is it expensive? I think I'll try the HE, but I have HE Humidity defying gel and HATES IT!. I have a sheepish confession to make: I can't figure out how to plop to save my life. I've never liked mousse, but maybe I can check out this fuzzy duck. Is it a gel?

Also, hearing that it works better in winter sort of breaks my heart. I just know I'm gonna end up buying it again. Maybe not, there's so much other stuff I need to try.

Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee - it's medium priced.

HE Set me up (also known as HESMU) is NOT like the humidity defying gel. I didn't like it either.

Fuzzy duck is a gel - it is the first (out of probably over 20 different gels) that actually gave me good fat clumps! I order it online, and its kind of spendy.

Plopping! Many struggle with this. The best thing to do is go to http://jessicurl.com/Demo-Videos-p-6.html and watch the video on 'plunking' (same as plopping). Another thing, is some of us get creative and come up with our tweaked version of plopping. If I plop like the video, I get very tight, crazily shaped curls. I can't even begin to explain how I plop, but it's a very loose version of it. Find what works for you : )

I hated it! It made my hair stringy and dull. I like boots much better.
