Hardest Holding Gel?

I am just asking all my questions at once!

Since BRHG has now changed what is the hardest holding gel now out there? I heard Aura was hard but I just found out that it changed too, only the sensitive formula is left.
I was devoted to BRHG till the formula change now I swear by LA looks "durahold" huge bottle, cheap and great hold! For 3 bucks its worth a try
Lots of Fine easily weighed down 3A curls
PJ currently loving Devacare one c, CEHT,& Durahold but still searching for HGs
Finally grew out my bad layers!!!
Sebastian Hi-Contrast Gel has a very strong hold.

The Sally Beauty Supply Beyond the Zone Spike It is a knock off of the (original?) BRHG. It's the strongest holding gel I've ever used!

Currently: Trying to stop straightening so much. Using Elucence conditioner and whatever works for me.
Thank you for all the replies. Here are a few questions I have if you can answer:

1. The Hi-Contrast, if I shampoo do I need to worry about the protein in any way?
2. Beyond the Zone Spike It, I went to buy this and the lady in the store told me it was like cement! She talked me out of it. She said it was very hard to get out of your hair. Does anyone use it?
3. BRHG, in regards to the new formula I have not tried it but I read on posts it was not as good, has anyone tried it? Is it as hard holding?
.
If you normally have a broblem with protein, you may have a problem with the Hi-contrast. It has wheat protein, which seems to be the one that causes the most sensitivities. If you're not very protein sensitive, then shampoo should get out any potential build-up.

I got the Hi-Contrast last night at Ulta and tried it today. It did give me great chunky curls...yea! It also seems to be a hard hold. One thing is that parts of my hair were a little straight and I was a little frizzy...any thoughts?
That's application - it's hard to get the whole head. I had a few stray straighties underneath yesterday for that same reason.

Perhaps it is my application. Here is what I do...any thoughts?
I squeeze a little water out in the shower
I scrunch a little water out with a thin cotton diaper (my hair is still pretty wet but not dripping)
I apply gel the my hair a comb thru with my fingers, scrunching with my hands
Then I scrunch with diaper again
Then I put in another small blob og gel for good luck...I feel that the diaper may take off too much

Thoughts or suggestions?
I do the exact same thing, except, I have all my products with me in the shower, so instead of the intial blot with diaper that you do, I just apply the product then blot with diaper. I use to think that another application of product after was blotting was necessary, but I haven't notice much difference if I do it, so lately I haven't been adding the extra. HTH

I tried the new BRHG, liked it very much. With lower humidity, I'm back to HE SMU, definitely not as much hold but I don't need it in the dryer weather.
3B, I think w/very thick hair, shoulder length. Fall hair: Low Poo, TS, CK, Aloeba leave in, recoil or RR, plop, BRHG or SMU, no blow dry.
sorry if I didn't get this but is the Sebastian CG? How about the Beyond the Zone Spike it?
I'm interested in trying the CHI gel, thanks for the tip.
BRHG was my favorite gel. I'm currently using the new formula (told my sister to pick up 3 bottles of this and had no idea they had changed the ingredients, so now I'm stuck with a LOT of this gel! lol!) which is fine, but not the Holy Grail the old BRHG was.

Today I picked up Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee Hard Hold Gel. These are the ingredients:

Rosewater, PVP, Acrylates/Steareth-20 Itaconate Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Panthenol, Hydrolized Silk, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Parfum.

Since this is my first purchase of this Gel, can anyone tell if this is the new or the old formula, and more importantly, is it CG friendly?

Once again, if I am sensitive to protein (will find out soon enough), I picked the wrong gel, huh?

Thank you once again, in advance to the chemically inclined.
I think you found a tube of the old formula which has protein lower in the ingredients list. I'm protein sensitive and it doesn't bother me--it's my very favorite gel.

It is CG.

I wonder why they're so different if the Beyond the Zone brand is supposed to be the same?
