Do you prefer your hair wet or dry?
I was thinking about products that claim to give you the wet look ie. hair that looks the same dry as wet, and I realized I'm not crazy about my wet hair. I do like the length, but shrinkage is bothering me less and less, and my wet hair is too heavy and seems limp and overly clumped. My preference is when my hair is about 50% dry. I LOVE it then - it has body and movement but lies nicely about my face. I wish there was a "damp" look product to preserve THAT!

i like mine best dry. i feel unkempt when i go out with it wet. although, last night fiance and i went out to dinner and i had diffused it as much as i could before we left but it was still kinda wet. i didn't get carded to order a drink (i'm 23 but look like a teenager) and fiance thinks it's because i look older with my hair wet. more "professional" he says. i don't really understand, but ok.

I definitely like mine better dry & I dont really like leaving the house with wet hair.
It looks too flat when wet, I like the bounciness I get from diffusing & just a little fluffiness!

I hate that period when my hair is drying. I just can't wait for it to be dry so that I can scrunch it out with a little bit of oil and get that natural soft & defined look that I sometimes get.

I like mine dry best. I have been trying to airdry lately & I cannot wait until it dries so I can scrunch out the crunch!!

I like my hair almost dry and completely dry LOL.
I like my hair when it is almost dry (80% perhaps). It has curl but not the shrinkage.
And I like when it has been dry for hours because I can get volume and manipulate the curls without getting frizz.
For some reason my hair that is dry to the touch does not look as good as almost dry hair and hair that has been dry for hours.
Would not mind a product that could hold the damp look.

I like my hair best when it is almost dry. It seems to look the healthiest and least frizzy then
Damp look product would be awesome

I like when my hair is dry. I love the shrinkage and the fullness. My hair is so flat (for me) when it's wet.

I like mine best where it's like..uhh.. <random calculation> 85% dry It looks its best then, before it starts to get too much volume!

Ha, that's totally my problem! I'm completely impatient, but I get better results from airdrying than from diffusing (if I can just manage to keep my hands out of my hair until completely dry).
Wet, my hair just looks... well, wet and uncared for. It clumps in strange ways and looks overgelled until it's dry.

I wish I could keep mine wet all the time (or keep that look). When my hair is wet it is long and curly and not frizzy or fuzzy. Well I like the way it looks, but my brother has called it a mop or something to that effect when wet so maybe I am imagining that it looks okay wet. BUT once it dries watch out world (not in a good way) and the shrinkage oy

I like for my hair to be dry but have the wet look. Most of the time I can achieve this but when I can't I prefer it to be in between wet and dry. That's usually not a problem because most days it takes all day to dry.

My hair doesn't start to look good until it's at least 50% dry. When it's wet it's kind of stringy and not especially curly, and as the water "evaporates" (for lack of a better word) it starts to form nice corkscrew curls. By the time it's 100% dry I've already been playing with it for a while and breaking up the curls (not intentional, just a bad habit), so I would have to say it looks it's best at about 75% - 90% dry, LOL!

wow... for all the products that claim to give the wet look, most people here don't seem to want that.

IMO, the petrified wet curl look is equivalent of the wet dog look :x ....not very becoming but smells better.

Yes! That is exactly how I feel & why I am so impatient that my hair takes soooooo long to dry! It is even a very different colour when it is wet. Plus I have no volume till it is dry.

Me too, but I noticed that many products, such as Curly Pudding, say "how your hair looks wet is how it will look dry" and I wondered why that was a good thing. The slightly damp look would be awesome though!
