Excitement!

I was out and about today when I decided to stop at this Walmart that I have passed before but haven't been to. I pull into the parking lot, and there is a SALLY'S there, too! Of course, I was really pumped, and I got Biotera Curl Creme and Aura Hypo Gel (I tried both of them tonight...I'm too impatient to try one at a time first ) I just had to share my joy with the people I knew would appreciate it

I'm a 2b/3a in a perpetual search for the products that will actually give me a good hair day in this brutal heat and humidity!
My PJ is demanding to know the results....spill, spill. Are either one of those gels protein free? Waiting patiently for reply
2b/3a.
Aura Hypo gel is protein free and I'm pretty sure that the Biotera creme is too, though I couldn't swear to it. The combo turned out pretty great this evening, though I can't really say as to how it will last when I use it in the morning. Plus, I have to try them both separately to get an actual sense of how well they work...but I promise to share in a few days! I wouldn't want to torture your PJ by making you wait too long

CurlyinColorado,
I did kind of forget for a little bit...sorry! But look...I remembered!!

So far, I absolutely love the combo of Biotera curl creme and Aura hypo gel! The Aura gel is a really thin consistency, which I love. Also, unlike most gels, it feels silky in my hands and hair rather than sticky. My curls have looked awesome with this combo. I've had some frizz and might need a bit more hold, though. However, I've been having major frizz problems in general, so it's probably totally unrelated to these products. Anyway, I definitely recommend these two, especially since they're CG and protein-free. I'm not sure that I'd say that either of these two is my HG yet, but I do really like them both!

I'll chime in on the Aura Hypo gel. I've tried it a few times recently and I liked it a lot. I makes my hair noticeably shiny! It's easy to apply. I'm not sure how strong the hold is, but I think it's good stuff.

Another item you might pick up at Sally's next time is the Biotera firm-hold gel. This is another very liquidy gel and easy to use, it's CG, it's very reasonable (they have a big bottle, too). If you want more info on it, there is a big thread from a few months back about Biotera Gel, Biolage Gelee, and Biosilk Rock Hard Gel.

I have some of the Biotera Curl Cream. I've only tried it a couple of times so far, but I think my hair didn't like it for some reason.

I'd forgotten, too, thanks for the reminder, of course, I've purchased three new styling products since this post, not including the Alagio that I'll be getting from the swap board sometime next week, I guess I'll have to wait a while.

Thanks again.
2b/3a.
