LOVING new Regis Vivid Satin Conditioner
Having had a couple of weeks of bad hair, I've used the new Regis Vivid Satin Conditioner now twice (so it's early), but OMG, it's awesome!
My curls are all clumpy and boing-ing all over my head...and that's a special thing for a 2b/3a! And they are soooo soft. I actually like it better than the Olive Oil Conditioner (gasp!).

Thank you so much for the review and ingredients! I have been eyeing this and waiting for a comment or two and wondered what the ingredients were. My hair likes silk proteins, etc. and I noticed silk in this...I may have to give this a try! Thanks again

Can anyone describe the scent of this? With these ingredients, I'm assuming that it has good slip, yes?
Either way, I'm adding it to my wishlist!

What's the consistency like? I tend to do well with slippery, viscous conditioners. I was pleasantly surprised by the Olive Oil one (great slip despite having no cones), so I'm really interested in trying this one. Does it cost more? TIA

Damn! And I just recently got a bottle of the olive oil conditioner and am loving it. Oh well, it took months for me to be near a Regis salon to buy it. I probably won't won't be near it anytime soon.
I do loooooooooove the olive oil condish. Anyone use it as a leave in?

I went and sniffed this at smartstyles tonight...and it smells really really good!! It reminds me a tiny bit of the old "HDR" hair's daily requirement, I don't know if anyone remembers that AT ALL...but it was an awesome scent to me anyway, but the Regis stuff smells a lot less strong, which is a good thing. The consistency looked pretty thick and creamy from what I could see in the bottle. I heard it was pretty slippy, but maybe laurabeth would have more info. Also, I talked to a lady who worked there, and she said they are changing the regular regis designline to look like the new stuff too and I think they are changing some of the fragrances to be like this, so if you guys like it, hopefully some of the other regis stuff smells like it in the future.

Thanks for that description, hockeymomof3, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this now if it fits that criteria. Good to hear they might be changing some of the Designline scents. An "olive" conditioner that smells like pink bubblegum is not the most apt fragrance idea IMO.

The fragrance reminded me of a baby powder, light fragrance and didn't linger at all once rinsed out (and wasn't all that noticeable while in my hair either).
It's consistancy was thick and substantative so that when I squeezed it out (also comes in a pump which is more economical, but I started with the smaller bottle that was $11...can't remember how much the Regis OO condish smaller bottle is), it created a 3-D pile in my hand (rather than being more liquidy and creating a flat puddle or in between the two and sinking into itself somewhat. I could clearly see the shape of the conditioner's squirted path, much like toothpaste keeps its shape when squeezed from the tube. It reminded me of Umberto Giannini (or maybe, to some degree LaCoupe) and CO Bigelow Not Your Ordinary Daily Conditioner in just the way it squirted out in all its 3-D-ness.
I started with a smaller amount than I usually end up using so I could test its ease of distribution thru my hair. Once I rubbed it between my hands and over the outer surface of my hair, I was amazed how effortlessly it distributed thru my wet curls. I actually contemplated whether I needed to use a little more (or equal my normal amount used), and only added a little more because (A) I wanted to keep consistant in amount to remove a variable in my testing (so it would be fair) and (B) because I like to feel a lot of conditioner all thick thru my hair in the shower. It had great slip and distribution though, so using a little more was honestly extraneous (and after day 1, I didn't use the extra amount and got the same great results).
When I applied my normal routine of CK and gel after rinsing and squeezing some of the excess water from my hair, I always scrunch after raking in the gel. When I wet-scrunched, I had remarkable clumps that were intertwined and literally, on wet-hair, had serious shrinkage (something that's unheard of in the 2b/3a world). I also had good "squish" which always tells me a good hair day is on the way.
In the am, I had thick, clumpy curls with minimal spider weby frizz. A pea more gel on dry hair (another common routine item for me) fixed the spider weby frizz. My curls were soft and bouncy all day. As I shook my head thru the day (looking this way or that), my curls literally bounced and sprung around my head. I will say that the curls loosened in a slightly heavy way by mid-afternoon, but that left a more natural curl shape behind that wasn't as clumpy but looked awesome for that time of day. I didn't have any frizz problems, just a few stray hairs here and there (and I did touch my hair a little much thru the day, partially because it was so soft).
I think that's a pretty thorough report. Anything I missed that someone was curious about?

Wow, what a fantastic and descriptive review, LB! Now I am really dying to try this!
The WalMart Smartystyle salons have Designline 10.5 oz. bottles on sale this month 2/$12, but the Olive Oil and Cashmere lines are excluded. I wonder if this sale includes the Vivid Satin or not? I will definitely have to go back and see!

Does anyone have the ingredients to Regis Vivid Satin Conditioner? The previous review and link doesn't seem to work anymore.
Thanks!
