For those of you who wash your hair at night...

I had pretty good luck with this last night. I CO washed and conditioned my hair, but didn't put anything else in it (I thought I was going to straighten it). After plopping for about 30 minutes, I took my hair out of the MF turban and decided...what the heck...I'll see what diffusing will do (again I was planning on sleeping on it and straightening in the morning). I actually got pretty decent hair, a little poofy, but better than I expected.

I slept with it pulled up like normal, and in the morning...I actually still had decent looking curls, but a little frizzy. I decided to skip the straightening and just wet it a little with my lavender water and put some HE TT mousse in. So I guess here is my question...

I would rather use as little product as possible, I've tried putting product in my hair sopping wet, but it takes forever to dry like that, even with the diffuser. Does anyone have a suggestion for something I could use in the morning that would lessen the amount of frizz. I think a gel would be kind of heavy, and I am not a huge fan of the HE TT mousse that I used today. I don't need a whole lot of hold, just want to reduce the frizz. Is there a serum or something light that anyone recommends? This would be going in mainly dry hair. I'm not strictly CG, so if it has 'cones in it, I'd try it.

TIA!!
I use pink Boots along with a little water(just wet my hands) to freshen my curls in the am.

I style my hair from dry in the am, but I use gel, which from what you're saying may be too heavy for you. Have you tried using a just a leave in? Giovanni Direct goes on my dry hair (few leave ins absorb well for me in this way) it defines a little and has a light hold; is that enough for you?

You could give aloe vera gel a try. Sometimes I use this to scrunch into dry 2nd day hair. It's not heavy like a gel and doesn't dry too crunchy. I'll rub it with a little water into my hands and scrunch.

The reason I started washing the night before was the same as you; hair that never dried, plus when it did dry I didn't have much control over the outcome. I also like Garnier Soft Curl Creme, but that is not CG, and is very messy to work with and a little heavy. But it works pretty good with the Giovanni.

Some more liquidy gels that I like are Elasta QP Feels like silk, which never gets stiff, is very moisturizing, though if you use too much can get greasy, and Loreal Melting Gel, which has a lovely, light consistency, but not in the drippy, drying sense.

I also liked Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic Jelly but I had to use that on wet hair.
