Hello all! This is my first post, although I've used the site for info many times before. I am about to see a SIGNIFICANT cut in income since I've decided to become a teacher and will be student teaching starting in January. Which means I'll have no full-time job. Which means I won't have the expendable income for my Deva Curl products which I have been using for about 3 years.

I'm really worried about damaging my hair by using more cost-effective products, so I want to try to make a good choice that will be better for the pocketbook. Any suggestions, newfound curly friends??

Herbal Essences gels (Body Envy and Set Me Up) - about $4 a tube
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner - about $8 for 11oz (extremely cost effective since it's so thick)
VO5 conditioners for co-washing
Trader Joe's shampoo/conditioner - around $2 for a 16oz bottle

And that's just the locally available stuff.

I second the Trader Joe's (The Nourish Spa). My hair loves it so much as both a rinse out and a leave in.

Other options are
Back to Basics Pom Peace - 1.50 at Big Lots
Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine leave in - 3 something(?)
Activate Hydrating Conditioner (Just found it at Ulta on clearance, so don't know if it's on its way out there or what) - 3.49
