I need some help, I went to my local Walmart last night and couldn't find coconut oil anywhere. Where exactly did you guys find it? I'd love to try it! I looked in the oil section, all they had was veg oil, and then in the asian food section-only found coconut milk.

TIA!
My Wal-Mart used to have it in the cooking oil section. I haven't looked in a long time. Maybe they stopped carrying it???

You have to look up. I found in the baking aisle next to the vegetable oil on the top shelf. It is a white container (not a bottle) with a green lid.

Yes, it is definitely going to be on the top shelf w/ the other cooking oils and Crisco if your WalMart has it. I saw it in mine, the packaging is very unappealing but the price was insanely cheap for the huge quantity.

What I am wondering is if this is actually good for hair vs. the coconut oil that claims to be refined or extra virgin from the health food stores? Or is that just hype, and coconut oil is coconut oil?
There is a difference between refined and unrefined. However, the Walmart coconut oil has been working for me. I do not, though, use it in the same manner as others. My hair is too fine for using it on my hair. Instead, I use it on my scalp (for psoriasis) and as a DT.

I didn't even try Wal-Mart...I was afraid it'd have something extra added to it, plus the people that work there are crabby

I got mine at Wild Oats for maybe 9 dollars. At the rate I'm using it (once a week for a DT) it'll probably last me a year. So it seems like a lot at first, but in the long run the cost won't really add up so badly.

I got mine from the local Health Food Store and they usually have more sizes and brands to choose from. The price for 12 to 16 ozs ranged from $8 to $16. I at least know that it is pure, organic, and virgin.
