hairline

I have the weirdest hairline EVER. I have what you call a "widow's peak" hairline and it looks super weird when I pull my hair back in a pony tail to work out. I leave some shorter pieces down in the front to camoflauge it, but sometimes it looks like I have bald spots. Do any of the rest of you have this problem?
I don't have a widow's peak, but I do have a cowlick in front which can be quite annoying.

I have a neckline problem in the back that annoys me. I have a long hairline on my neck if that makes any sense. It just looks odd when I put my hair up.

i have a weird widow's peak too!! its not even in the center of my head, its like a widow's peak, and the widow went a little crazy. i don't mind it, there's nothing i can do about it and when my hair's down you can't really notice it. if you do a low pony with a side part it might help to hide it.

I have a small widow's peak but just two months ago I experimented by plucking it flush w/ the rest of my hairline. I think I like the peakless me better but I may let it grow back in. Mine's small, though...

I don't have a widow's peek, but I do have and odd hairline that bugs me sometimes. My hairline receeds on the top corners. It's a pain when I do french braids because my hair isn't as thick as you would expect at the front hairline, and makes for wimpy start to braids.

So, I might be plucking yet another area to bring it in with the rest. Can a girl get a break from the tweezers? My chin, my lip line, my crazy thick brows, my legs and various other places that need not be mentioned. What is going on here?!!!

I have a widows peak too but I can honestly say it's one thing about my hair that's never bothered me and I don't even think about it. I've had a fringe for many, many years now, but even before that it didn't bother me at all.

I have a small widow's peak. I think it's cute.

Lots and lots of fine 3b-ish hair.
DevaCurl currently, but exploring new products.
Love the hair!

Amandacurls, I have a ridiculously prominent widow's peak. I could never pluck mine like spiderlashes suggests though because my hairline is so deep. One of my "friends" in elementary school used to torment me and say I was going bald from pulling my hair back in a ponytail all the time. Anyway, my point is that, widow's peaks really aren't that bad. I get random compliments on it when I just pull my hair half back and let it show. I feel more comfortable with my hair pulled back partly just because the peak gives me such a strange looking part and I feel more comfortable with it out of my face.

Try to rock it! I know it can be annoying!

Also, have you ever tried bangs? I was wondering if that would help or if bangs don't look right with widow's peaks. I feel like they'd annoy me but I've always wondered..
Wow, now I don't feel so alone! I have a widow's peak but it's pretty sparse, so I think it looks balding. I hate it There are so few hairs, if it were fuller I wouldn't mind. I've thought about plucking it, but if it ends up looking worse there's no turning back.

I have the same deal going on and it's been bugging me lately. I've been wearing my hair naturally curly more often really recently and thought it would help with the whole thinness thing going on, but even my curls...it's like...main head of hair, gap, then the side face framing pieces. I actually just posted a thread here thinking it might be from straightening that area more, but it could just be a prominent widow's peak.

I know my hair is thinner than when I was in my teens and 20s but I've also been paying attention to other women at work (women in menopause, recently given birth, on hormones) and have been wondering if it's a hormonal thing? I'm gonna be 33 in a few weeks and I'm taking HRT and am afraid my hair is going to get thinner as I grow it out.
