Headbands: thick or thin?

I've been experimenting with hairbands because it's a good way to wear my hair down while keeping it out of my face for work and I'm curious what everyone prefers when it comes to headbands.

Do you wear a thicker band or a thin one? I like the ones by Goody (I think?) that are thin with rubber in them because it keeps them from slipping but for some reason, my hair doesn't look right when I wear them. The hair that's just above and behind my ears on either side of my head kind of flops forward and out esp. the shorter layered parts and it's looks weird. I'm thinking maybe a thicker headband my work better

I like the thin leather headbands I bought from Ulta - I have one in black and one in brown. They're hard bands - no rubber or elastic - so they sit on my hair and don't wrap around my head. They fit perfectly - hold my hair out of my face without giving me a headache. Perfect for second and third day hair - or for day 1 hair that is misbehaving!

Currently using the following 2 - 3 x/week:
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day suphate-free Poo, cone-free CO and styling treatment, plus KCCC

I like thick scarf-type fabric headbands. And I like thin double headbands.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
I have a love/hate relationship with hairbands. I love how they look and keep the hair out of my face, but I can never find ones that do not give me a headache. Has anyone discovered a brand that is headache-proof? Not the elastic type, but a nice tortoise shell?

Thick. The thin ones disappear into my hair.

Poo: Still on the lookout!
CoWash: Also need a good one. Recently restarted this.
RO Conditioner: EMB but looking for something with more detangling power

Ooh, I like the thin double headbands too but can never find them. Where do you get yours SBB? As far as headaches, I can't use the hard ones either because they hurt.
I tried a thicker band the other day and my hair still didn't look right.
I think what I really need is just a good haircut/shaping.

Hairboutique.com has a ton of headbands and I found this place but haven't bought their yet.
You can also get cheap ones at Target or Clares in the Mall.
