Default Changes in KCKT ingredients??

I received two new bottles of Knot Today that I ordered from the kinky curly website when curl mart was out. I noticed that the ingredients were different from my old bottle? I havent tried the new bottles yet. Does it look like a bad change?

Old bottle ingredients:
  • Aqueous extracts of wild cherry bark, slippery elm, marshmallow root, cetyl alcohol, stearalkonium chloride, citric acid, DMDM Hydantoin and natural fragrance

New bottle ingredients:
  • Mango fruit extract, slippery elm, marshmallow root, lemongrass, cetyl alcohol, behentrimibium methosulfate, citric acid, phenoxyethanol and natural fragrance

behentrimibium methosulfate - is this a sulfate? I dont have my list of ingredients commonly used in hair products handy to find out what it is.

Not it's not a sulfate, it's a very nice ingredient. KT is still CG and I can't tell the difference between the old and new formulas.

nope not a sulfate!! I was worried too originally.... but i found this info:

Behentrimonium methosulfate is the mildest hair-detangling ingredient available. It is made from non-genetically modified rapeseed oil. This scientifically sophisticated ingredient is renowned for its superior detangling ability, without causing build-up on the hair. Unlike other hair detanglers, which are known for their irritancy, behentrimonium methosulfate is extremely mild, being recommended for use in baby products which are left on the skin. It is superior in effectiveness and mildness to it's commonly used cheaper cousin, behentrimonium chloride. It is not a sulfate.

"Rapeseed?" Sounds violent.
