Are they trying to tell me something?
OK, so on the same day I return the Nature's Gate Hemp Conditioner (due to having gone on an impulse hair care shopping spree), I come home to find in the mail a $5 reward certificate for the same natur al/health food store I returned the conditioner to!!!
So now, or up to 11/25/08, I can repurchase this conditioner, not for $5.99 plus tax, but for 99 cents plus tax. Or I could get something else.
ETA: What do you suggest? Beauty Without Cruelty? I'd have to order it in though. Something Giovanni?

I don't know much about BWC or Giovanni, but what about the Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner or Mandarin Magic Jelly? Those are both high on my list to try after reading good reviews in everyone posts!

I'd have to order either of those too because they're not a stock item at that health/natural food store.

One of my favorite health food store finds has been Desert Essence Hydrating Shea Butter conditioner. I think it has wonderful slip. It's not super thick, but I think it's moisturizing.

I haven't seen that one with the other Desert Essence products.
I didn't care for the Red Grape.

I didn't like the Italian Red Grape, either.
As for NG products, I haven't tried the hemp. I think the fav NG product I've tried has been the jojoba.

All the Aubrey Organics conditioners are very heavy with oils. IMO they are not well suited to fine-haired curlies. (at this point, I've tried them all, some repeatedly out of pure stubborness, and in case you can't tell, I really do not like them) If for instance you find Jessicurl conditioners likely to produce oil buildup, AO is much worse.
The Mandarin Jelly was for me pretty much the equivalent of using aloe for a gel. About the same amount (or lack) of hold.
I think the Beauty Without Cruelty leave-in was very popular with a lot of curlies. I also like the Desert Essence Shea, although it has a LOT of essential oils so I don't use it too often. I like the Nature's Gates because they are affordable but I haven't found one that really excites me. But for $.99, heck.

I found the AO Island Spice built up on me. My hair after a while started feeling very waxy. I guess that was the essential oils?

I just remember there being a lot of oils (coconut oil?) in AO.
Have you looked at Natures Gate Organics? Does your store have those in stock? I like the Persimmon & Rose Geranium Moisturizing conditioner, and it doesn't have any peach in the ingreds that I see. I remember it as being not too heavy, but moisturizing. The Grapefruit & Wild Ginger Fortifying also looks good but I haven't tried it.
I used the Desert Essence Shea one quite a bit last winter and it worked well for me. Eventually it built up but I think that was more my fault than the product.

I just wanted to say that I have really fine hair and I love the AO Honeysuckle Rose conditioner. I've only started to use it this winter, so it could be it's just a winter thing.....
