Default Is honey alright for hair once it gets crystally?

My plastic honey bear is still half full, but the honey is getting thicker and has a slight sugary consistency. I've never seen this happen with honey. It's not even that old, either. Is it ok to still use it on my hair? I went ahead and used it yesterday and didn't notice a difference in results. I hate to pitch it since it's still half full.

Honey will crystalize as it ages. Just zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds and shake, or put the container in a small saucepan, add an inch of water to the pan, and heat on low until the crystals melt.

The best thing to do so you don't melt the bottle (& the bottles are delicate) is to boil water then turn off the water & take the pot off the burner, & put the bottle of honey in the water until the water cools then shake it to distribute & melt all sugar crystals. You might need a second or third treatment until all the crystals are turned back into liquid.

Yup, what lazy loops said works best. I wouldn't recommend adding any water to the honey. Once I accidentally got some water in my honey jar, and it went bad a few weeks later. If left alone, honey should never spoil.
