That's a toughie for me... I was a curly toddler, then had only slightly wavy hair until I hit puberty, when it got totally curly again. I put "7-13", and didn't count the toddler years, though.

I was born with a little afro of black, coily, nappy hair - lots and lots of hair. A little later, it fell out and I was bald, then it grew back reddish brown and in looser, 3a-type ringlets. As I got older, it turned black again and the curls tightened and grew to my waist in big, fat, bouncy 3b ringlets. When I was about 13 or 14, with puberty the curls tightened and shrunk. I cut it to my chin a couple of years later and pretty much had my 3b/c to 3c hairtype since then. When I went really short in college it was almost a 4a in terms of curl tightness, then grew out to 3c and now more to 3b/c. It changes a lot with length.

I was born bald but once my hair started to grow in and get long, it curled up. It was always curly BUT my mom would blow it out straight or braid it up when I was a kid because it was SO thick and long. Then I would hood dry it up until the middle of HS when I just started to wear it either naturally curly or blow it out straight.

Mine was slightly wavy until I was about 19-20 and then when my last perm didn't grow out I decided it must be natural.

When I was born it was like little curly Q's and as I grew older it became more of just a wave. Looking back at my pictures my hair wasnt frizzy at all and it just was a nice wave down to the middle of my back. I wish I could get that back...

I had lovely blonde ringlets as a toddler which my mum encouraged, but as I got older my hair became wavier, probably cos I would brush & blowdry all the time! Then I straightened it for quite a while (with a big brush, blowdryer, curlers, woolly hat, etc. etc...) Then I went through a big scrunchy hairspray phase when that was fashionable. Then back to straightening, oh & its been cut short & grown out a few times as well, my hair isn't curly when short.
I started growing my hair again about 2 years ago & Iv'e been back with my natural curls for about 18 months & I can't imagine being without them at the moment.

I would assume I've had curly hair since birth, since both parents are curly, but since my hair was so short until I was about 2 I can't be sure, so I chose the 2nd option when I can see I had cute blonde ringlets in photos. Why can't my hair be like that now?

I voted "7-13", because my hair changed when I hit puberty-- although it wasn't really fully changed until I was more like 14 or 15. (What can I say... I was a late bloomer. ) 'Course, I was also a little bit curly as a toddler, as my avatar sort of shows. But I had straight hair with only a little bit of a body wave during the in-between years.

I voted since I was born, but then realized that I was pretty much bald until I was 2 yrs old. I had alittle bit of hair, and from the pictures I 've seen, I had soft waves(maybe 2b/3a ). Then when I hit 2, my hair grew and tightened into 3c curls.

I was bald probably until I was about one. Then I had a full head of blonde ringlets. My mother could never even attempt to brush my hair. My hair has gotten much darker over the years, but it is still just as curly. When it is short, I have ringlets, as it gets longer, I have corkscrews.

I was a bald baby. My mom said I had hair and then it fell out. (dramatically aparently) I had a head of tight curls. My first haircut was at age 5. I remember it. Somewhere in my mom's house there is an envelope of my hair from that hair cut! Later on when I was about 7 or 8 my hair got less curly. I always wanted it to go back to the way it was before my first haircut!
You know when I was about two or three my hair was so short and curly that I sometimes looked like a little boy. My mom told me this awful story about that. Once we were out at a restaurant or someplace, she had dressed me in a dress. Some guy said to her, "Why do you cut her hair like that!! She looks like a little boy!" :x My mom was so mad. She said she just could imagine what if it wasn't just growing like that what if he said that to someone who's child's hair was growing back from chemo or something. She just thought it was the most stupid and obnoxious comment.
Although the good thing about looking like a boy until I was three was that I could go to the bathroom with my dad. Ah 1980's kid clothes you could never tell! You know Izod shirts in yellow and white stripes and jeans!

My hair is a mix of 2b/3a and even a bit of 3b thrown in! I would call my hair wavycelli. It curls most when I leave it alone after wet scrunching. My hair has a spring factor of about 2 or 3 inches and has a very silky, medium texture.

My hair was stick straight when I was born. I had a lot on top and it was actually so straight that it would stick up and my mom had to put lil clips up there so she could 'tame' it . I think my hair started to look 'wavy' when it grew out longer (maybe 2 yrs old?) but didn't actually get to be 3a texture and thick until I was about 4, before it just looked wavy.

i went with other because i just don' know! my father has ringlets, my mom has straight, but thick hair. my mom always just brushed my hair and so i had straightish, yet frizzy hair. i always wondered about my frizz. i finally learned that i had waves when i was 33! and now i have been doing CG for almost a year. and that means no brushing for almost a year!!!

I was born with just a bit of wavy hair that my sister promptly rubbed off (not in a loving way!). So I pretty much looked like Alfred Hitchcock til I was about 2, then I became a curly.

I answered "since birth" since my hair has never been 100% straight. It's hard to say for certain what my hair's texture was while growing up because of all the hairbrushing. I have fine hair that goes straight when brushed out. I remember my mom combing my hair out and blowing it dry so it would, "stay that way," which would seem odd to have to do if it was straight, you know? Why was my hair so contrary? It got curlier as I hit puberty but I don't think it was ever really straight.

Mine started to get really coarse and curly when i was about 15.
It was soft and wavy before that, and I was virtually bald between birth and age 4.
