Do you poo?
I'm interested in getting my arms around what everyone does.
So what's your cleansing method of choice? I'd love it if you'd list brands 'n stuff, too. I wonder if there's a method or brand that the majority loves... like if I asked about conditioners, I'm sure I'd see elucence coming up a ton, so I'm wondering if there's something similar for washing... guess we'll find out!

I use Jessi Curl HCC & Deva Curl No Poo (cleansing conditioner). I checked off the first choice, but there's not a way to vote for more than one.

I 'poo about once a week with Jessicurl HCC & the rest of the time I co-wash with Original Source or Back to Basics.
This is working really well for me!

Shampoo every other day for me. Might soon change to sulfate free shampoo and see if that helps my dandruff.

I shampoo about 2 or 3 times a week with CoN. Then, about once ever 2 weeks I've been using Fantasia IC 100% Pure Tea Shampoo. It's really effective at getting all of the build-up out of my hair....(I use cones).
I'm going to try an ACV Rinse this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

Yes, most mornings.
Oh, wait, you mean shampoo (j/k.) Yes, once a week or every two weeks with a gentle formula. Once in a while I'll conditioner wash once or twice in between with Suave Coconut in the summer or dampen my hair in the shower.
My top two brands are Kiehl's shampoos. I either use the Castile dry hair formula or the Amino Acid gentle formula. I LOVE them. I also like the Elucence Moisture Balancing formula a lot (not the clarifying, it was was too drying.) I also have the L'anza dry hair formula and the Aubrey Organics Island Fantasy formula, which are fine. I have a huge industrial size bottle of Creme of Nature that I used to love but can no longer use because it was causing my scalp to itch. Once in a while I'll use the Aveda Black Malva or Sap Moss shampoos - not often as they are not as gentle.
I have way less shampoos than anything else as I have tossed most of the rest that I used to have or given them away or my husband is using them.
I voted for the sulfate-free lathering shampoo because that is what the Kiehl's brands are, though the lather is very light, but I do use low sulfates as well (the L'anza and Aveda shampoos, for example) and the Aubrey Organics is sulfate-free and non-lathering.

I was converted to the CoN detangling poo the first time I tried it. That's sulfate-free and lathering, right? Cuz that's what I voted.

I use Aveda Shampure once or twice a week, depending on what my hair seems to want. I rinse and/or conditioner wash once or twice a week too. I might add a weekly ACV rinse into my routine again because, inspired by recent threads, I did one again recently, and am really happy with the results.
I don't really use shampoo too much on my scalp, I take care of it with condish wash and just plain old warm water and a thorough massage. I have no scalp problems whatsoever since I started avoiding using shampoo on it.
I just use 'poo to get the styling build-up off the length of my hair. Shampure has sulfates, but for me it acts really gentle. I just leave some extra condish in on the day(s) I wash, for a little more moisture, and I'm good to go. It doesn't kill my curls the way other sulfate 'poos have.

I use sulfate-free and low sulfate poos. Elucence MB shampoo once every week and CON in between. I haven't tried anything else from curlmart, but will get around to it someday . I'm happy with my poos though.

I co-wash with Suave Nat.Tropical Coconut co most of the time now in the summer (every other day to everyday depending on swimming), once a week I wash with Devacurl No-Poo, and just once every 2 weeks with either Devacurl Low-Poo or Jessicurl HCC.

Oh my god! The same thing happened to me! I thought it was just me! Couldn't figure out why it did that to me! I loved it for a month or so, and then it just started to make me itch like CRAZY!!

I couldn't even stand it the one time I used it. I hated the smell because to me it smelled like dial soap or something and it felt way too harsh in my hair. Didn't help my tangles at all either. I regretted it the minute I started to massage it in.

I use Aubrey Organics Island Naturals. I love the way my hair feels after I've shampooed with this stuff. I just can't get away from "pooing" altogether. You'd never know that when I was relaxed I'd go sometimes a month without washing my hair, now I at least rinse or CO daily!

I use Avalon Organics nourishing shampoo. It's non-sulfate and has lavender in it! It is my first sulfate free poo. I haven't tried any others. I wash about every other day. I also scrub my scalp with Giovanni tea tree oil condish. It helps when my scalp gets really itchy.
I tried going no poo for about a week and my hair was awful. I'm a wavy and I must poo!!
Also the lovely ladies on the 2b board pointed me to Jessicurl Aloeba. Love it love it love it!!
