HMmmmmm... Have you made any changes lately like new medications you are taking or living in a different location?

Maybe you need a trim?

Is is just the pieces that were hightlighted that are straighter? Sorry i wish i could be of more help.

WOW! You are absolutely gorgeous and your hair doesn't look bad to me at all. I feel your pain, though. I had some highlights done that were overprocessed; luckily, it wasn't too many. I made a point to do weekly DTs and it helped a lot. I would recommend Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment -- I think it's one of the most moisturizing ones out there and it's done wonders for my hair. Good luck!

I can definitely relate, though unfortunately can't offer advice...I'm still looking for the cure to my bipolar hair. Mine is mostly a result of hormone changes due to pregnancy and breastfeeding over the last few years. Any hormonal changes (not implying you are pg, just know that hormone changes can do crazy things to your hair..I have a band of dark growth around my head from when I was with my last baby..never had my hair colored during my pgcy)
Sorry for your hair crisis, hopefully some of the curl experts can shed some light.

I found a great website with the lowest prices and free shipping over 35 bucks.

I would try this. I also put alot of sweet almond oil on my hair. That helped also.
So sorry! I know the feeling!
I am a 2c w/spirals underneath! 35 years old with 85% white hair. I am currently using DevaOne everyday with No Poo. I am using Smooth N Shine Gel Conditioner Extra-Hold on my course hair and it works awesome for 3 bucks. I found putting Color Magic into my hair color really covers the gray well.

And if you're pressed for time or just don't care for the whole deep conditioning ritual, you can put a bunch of really good conditioner (for the first time or two, you could even use rich stuff you'd use only on a weekly basis) on your hair before you go to bed at night. Really slather it on and let the hair drink it up! Get one of those satin bonnets that old ladies wear to bed (cheap -- any drugstore should have them) and put it over your hair. Go to sleep and wake up with beautifully hydrated hair! I was doing weekly treatments but found that this method works faster and more thoroughly on my hair. (Plus, I don't have to set aside time in my day to do a weekly treatment.)

Mine had been damaged by hair coloring and I thought I'd never get it truly conditioned, but this worked GREAT.

You can totally do this with dry hair -- in fact, that's how I do it! I never wash my hair at night (no time), and this method saves me time on weekly conditioning treatments and in the shower in the mornings because all I have to do is rinse it out and then put in my leave-in. I love it when life is simple.

I have done this with oils before, but not conditioners. Now, I just have get me a cute little grandma cap to sleep in. My poor husband -- he's already had to make it through all my overnight plopping experiments during the past couple weeks (luckily for him, it doesn't work for me), but now he'll have to make it through this. Lucky for me, he's such an understanding, good humored guy!
