new products..not really sure how to use (jessicurl)

this may seem like a dumb question, but please, bear with me.
for christmas, my boyfriend got me a full bottle each of jessicurl confident coils styling solution and rockin ringlets styling potion. i WAS originally going to wait until my bottle of angell was gone before i started using my new stuff, but since i'm getting a new cut on friday, i wanted to try out the new products too.

so here's my problem..i know you can used the two products together, and i wanted both of them specifically for that reason. but which one do you put in first? does it matter? do you apply both all over your head, or do you only put one all over your head and the other on the top layer?

any advice would be really helpful, as i have no experience with this kind of thing..only gel. thanks!!
hello! I normally use RR first, as wet as I can stand my hair, and apply all over. This is the point where I scrunch out the moisture, because I get better hold with the CCSS when I scrunch first. Once I scrunch out the water & moisture with a MF towel, then I apply the CC all over. I rub it in my hands like lotion and apply it all over my hair as if I were going to pull it up in a ponytail. I NEVER run my fingers through my hair when it's wet because it makes it too stringy when it dries. Hope that helps!

I do use the RR first, because I like to use it when my hair is its wettest. But the CCSS has to be used in TEENIE amounts, and from this description it sounds like too much of it, and it would cause frizz for me! I run my fingers through my hair while it's wet, or it ends up in about 5 sausage curls only, and trying to break them up while dry makes them frizz! I scrunch with my microfiber towel to dry AFTER putting products in when using Jessicurl - because enough stays in my hair that it's not a problem. (Other brands, I may put products in after scrunching, though)

Have you checked out the Jessicurl site? She shows people how to use her products, which is such a help!

From my own experience, I find that using less of both Rockin' Ringlets and Confident Coils works well for me. (By less, I mean less than what she shows in the video -- she has long, thick hair so she probably needs that much!)

You'll definitely need to experiment a bit but one thing that you definitely need to know is that neither RR or CCSS function like a gel. RR helps your hair to clump and CCSS is a humidity protector/curl activator. Gels tend to hold, so if you're looking for that in Jessicurl products, you will be disappointed. The thing is, though, that your curls will be so happy and healthy, you may discover that you don't need the hold you thought you did!

Oh, and also, Jess herself says she used to combine RR and CCSS, but now has discovered that they work best when applied separately.

thank you all for your replies. i will try applying rr to wet hair next time. i tried the both today, by just scrunching most of the moisture out of my hair and applying rr and then ccss. the results were ok, but i think it could be better!

jillipoo - i actually just saw the how to videos on her site today, so i learned a little. however, i didn't know that they're not really meant to work like a gel. i will try and experiment as i go over the next few weeks and hopefully get a pretty good method down. thanks so much
I use RR on soaking wet hair then CCSC after towel drying. I do it pretty much like the video on her site. In the summer I have found that when the humidity is really high I can mix CCSC with gel and it works great also.
