Best Leave-in? recs please

I have 3B hair and currently use Devacurl OneC as my leave in, but wondered if others have a leave-in that they really like?

Any recommendations would be appreicated!

I'm currently liking Kinky Curly Knot Today.

I'd recommend ABBA Nourishing, but they reformulated, repackaged & repriced it, so it's got different ingredients, is in a small-ish tube versus bigger bottle & it costs more.

I also like The Body Shop's Amlika.

Jessicurl Aloeba is great.

Have you tried using plain jojoba oil? I like that as well.

My all time favorite leave in is Elucence Moisture Balancing Condish. I use is as a leave in and as a detangler.

NetG 01-02-2008 01:53 PM

Do you need very moisturizing?

I used to use Aloeba, and loved it. However, my hair's gotten so healthy and moisturized it's now *too* moisturizing! I'm now using Paul Mitchel leave-in. It works well for me, since I like using more leave-in and less product.

Knot Today:compress:

I really like KC Knot Today also. I've also used and liked Paul Mitchell Leave In but I think the protein dried out my hair after a while. A lot of curlies on here love SheaMoisture.

Jessicurl TS, Elucence and if your hair can stand protein Batia & Aleeza conditioner.

Robert Craig's Conditioner! It makes an excellent leave-in. I have recently only been using that as a cream styler/leave-in and CK over it. Good hair days! :D

thanks for the recommendations everyone! Looks like I'll be spending a little more money very soon!

I'm liking Garnier Curl and Shine Leave In.

jillipoo 01-03-2008 03:37 PM

I like Aloeba as a leave-in. Just a little is perfect.

Aries_jb 01-03-2008 03:54 PM

I use Elucence, which is awesome, and Giovanni Direct leave-in. Ounce for ounce they cost about the same, and they both work equally well, so I'm still trying to figure out which I like more.

Doodles 01-03-2008 03:58 PM

I also recommend Jessicurl's Aloeba. In fact, I just got a new bottle in the mail today. I've been using Oyin Honey Hemp (which is also good), but I've missed Aloeba! Her WDT (or even TS) also makes a good leave-in from what I've heard. GL! :)

They reformulated it too?!?!?!?? I thought they were just changing the packaging. That is such a bummer! :sad8: I love this conditioner. I was going to recommend it to Laney1 until I read your post. I'm almost out. :sad8:

Sorry to guano.

lazy loops 01-03-2008 04:21 PM

Yes ma'am they did.

If I'd know you were almost out, I would rather have shared a bottle with you than with an ungrateful in-law who waved it off to someone else. Nothing is ever good enough for her unless it comes from one of "the golden ones".

echokitten 01-03-2008 05:03 PM

Jessicurl WDT and SheaM for me here, or I also use Biolage Conditioning Balm. My runners up are Aloeba, Too Shea and AOHR and sometimes NG Aloe

I found a bottle on clearance at Ulta about 2 weeks ago, so you may want to see if you local beauty supply is selling off the old formula. The bottle I got was 12.00 and it huge!

Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner and Herbal Essences the Break's Over

FrizzBgone 01-04-2008 11:49 AM

My favs for leave-ins are:
SheaM, Jessicurls WDT, Aubrey Organic's Honeysuckle & Rose, Oyin's Honey & Hemp, Elucence MBC
Runner's Up:
JC's Aloeba, OneC

laurabeth33 01-04-2008 12:18 PM

Isn't it surprising that the most popular leave-ins are regular conditioners being used as a leave-in?

My favs are:

Jessicurl Aloeba
BWC Leave-In
Giovanni Direct Leave-In (the only product of Giovanni's my curls like)
AG Fast Food
