Good Clarifying Shampoo for Hard Water?

My hair hasn't been cooperating well this winter due to the dry air and diffuser heat. I think hard water might be a culprit as well. Are there any good hard-water clarifying shampoos out there that are under $10, paraben-free, cone-free and available at a drugstore/hair salon? Rusk and a couple others look nice.

Thanks!!

Eep! I looked up the Rusk Shampoo and couldn't find an ingredient list, but it has an ingredient called quillaja that has cytotoxin (toxin of cells) properties?? I'm not putting that on my head.

However, I looked up Nexxus Aloe Rid and the ingredients look pretty good. It claims to get rid of hard water buildup.

Does anyone here like Nexxus Aloe Rid for clarifying?

When I need to clarify (really well) I just use VO5 clarifying shampoo -- works well, doesn't seem to strip my hair too bad, it has sulfates though.

ETA: Sally's has a generic Aloe Rid - same thing, just as good and cheaper.

I've used these hard water poos:

Nexxus Aloe Rid
Ouidad Water Works
Joico Resolve
Robert Craig
Lush Hard Water Poo Bar

The Nexxus was okay, the Joico and Lush were harsh, the Robert Craig was okay, and the Ouidad WW seemed to be the best.

Thanks everyone! I think I'll get the Nexxus Aloe Rid because it has no parabens and one gentle sulfate, etc. I wish I had a Sally's near me! The original one doesn't seem too expensive though.

Final rinses with distilled water worked well for me too with the hard water and occassionally ACV rinses.

Kenra has a clarifying shampoo that I picked up for $12, I think. I like it better than the Robert Craig one.

Also, I bought some citric acid powder (you might find it in the baking aisle of a grocery store, I found it in the bulk spices area) and add that to shampoos. It also helps with hard water deposit removal.

I use the Generic Value Nexxus Aloe Rid from Sally's. It's gentle. I use it monthly & it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped or a rough tangled mess. It's pretty gentle & pretty cheap.
FYI: the Robert Craig shampoos for hard water are not really meant as clarifying. They actually help prevent hard water buildup. But I also use it before coloring to remove any buildup.
