Plopping with bangs?

I have side swept bangs (shortest layer is below my eye) and I'm trying to re-learn how to style my hair. Can anyone successfully plop with bangs? I've tried plopping with products and w/o and they always stick up after I diffuse. I can manage them when I don't plop and do everything standing up but my hair isn't the same. Any suggestions?

I plop with my bangs - they're right above my eyebrows. I put in my product on wet hair in the shower, plop, and then use a rat tail comb to coax them out. I then comb them forwards and just let it air dry a bit before I attack it with a flatiron.

i do..mine are slightly longer than yours though. I've found that i just have to let them air dry. my bangs are more on the wavy side though.
Mine seem to just want to stick up when I plop. Thank goodness for duckbill clips, i guess. lol

I have bangs and plop. At first I used clip them all forward before I put my hair in the plop, but now I just plop as usual, and when I take my hair out I separate my bangs by clipping the hair around them back. This works really wall because I Deva-clip all around the crown. If they have dried too much, I dampen them. I then blow the bangs dry and if I don't feel like being super careful with the blow dry, I just dry them with a little brushing and run a small flatiron over them.
Have several allergies and sensitivities.
Current products
Low Poo/Cowash: Rio Grande Herb Co Negrita and Amole Deep Treatment Concentrate, Magick Botanicals (MB) Shampoo (diluted)
Rinse out/Leave in: MB with apricot kernel and jojoba oils added
Protein Treatment: MB Conditioner for Thinning Hair, IAgirl's protien treatment
Style: MB Gel mixed with LOTD Aloe Vera Gelly

2b-c, need lots of moisture, likes protein in moderation.
Does anyone let their bangs curl? That's what I've been experimenting with. Maybe I'll try straighten them next and see what they do. I think I'm going to let them grow longer before attempting plopping again.

I no longer get stressed if it is foggy, raining, snowing or anything else that would cause them to go frizzy. When I decided to stop straightening them, I realized how much easier my hair has become.
I had to let them grow down quite a bit. I suspect that from years of straightening, the curl didn't start as close to the root as anywhere else on my head, but that is finally starting to improve. The longer they got, the easier they got.
I still use bobbypins around the front, so my hair isn't hanging in my face, but I hide them so you can't see them.
I wasn't able to plop until I decided to let my bangs curl.
Do you plop with a Curlease towel? If you're having problems with microfibre towels, give that one a try. The Curlease towels don't dry your hair as fast, so you don't end up with the wild fuzzy pieces you can get with the MF towels.
Type: 3a fine & dense, with normal porosity, terrible product junkie
ROUTINE: LI, enhancer, gel, plop with Curlease towel, serum product (either CIAB or Gel-les'c), clip & diffuse.
Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!

I diffuse upside down, but only for a minute or so. I lift the top and front into the diffuser and diffuse it at the top of my head. When I diffuse upside down for too long, I find that the curls all seem to go towards my face. Once it looks like it is starting to dry, I clip the top (like shellynot's video), but I don't clip my bangs. Once the top is clipped, I put the diffuser at my bangs on low. After I start to get curls forming, I'll put a couple of clips where my hair splits to the side (I don't really part it, but it naturally falls at the front as if it were parted). I put the clip right at the scalp, straight in (clamp at my forehead, pointing towards the back of my head. It seems to help give my bangs a little bit of volume at the root ... and helps keep them from hanging in my eyes while I put my make up on !!

HTH ... you'll have to be patient if you're going to let them grow ... but it is well worth it. Make use of the bobbypins. I swear by them !!

I twist curls into my bangs and then scrunch them.
That's right, I said it! I wear scrunchies!!

I am a sulfate washing, cone slabbing, curly lovin' s.o.b. The CG police haven't caught me yet.

I think I have it figured out! It wasn't the plopping that was giving me trouble, although, I did switch back over to the CurlEase. It was diffusing upside down that was making my bangs stick up/out wildly! I think once the product hardens in my hair, that's it, no going back. lol

After diffusing upside down I take tiny claw clips (maybe they are a half inch from side to side?) and clip the bangs how I want them. If it feels necessary I also dampen the root just a little. I leave the clips in for at least a half hour (sometimes longer when I forget). Then I have (usually LOL) nicely curly bangs too.
