devacut for all the austin/houston tx gals

ok so I am looking into trying this haircut but I'm not sure where to go. I have read good things and horror stories from girls who have gone to bad stylists so I want to be careful on where I go. I live in Austin because I go to school here, but I'm from Houston. So I have heard of Pink gallery salon in Austin and Mambos in Houston. If you have had the devacut in these salons please tell me of your experience!!!! Also how much did you pay??

THANKS SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE!!
Hi, I just sent you a PM but thought I'd bump this for any other Houston area curlies.

Gerri at Blue Mambo is the only Devacut gal in Houston that I know of right now. I got my hair cut with her 2 weeks ago today and am still loving it! I highly recommend her. My mom liked it so much she wants one - so guess what her Mother's Day present is?

I think Ron King at the Bo Salon down on S Congress is the only Deva certified stylist that I KNOW of, although there are several curly stylists in the Austin area. I've never personally gone to Ron (I honestly don't feel like I'm curly enough), but if you look under CurlSalons at the top of this page, then choose Texas, then Austin, there are a bunch of curly stylists (with reviews) that will come up.
Discovered nc.com in 09/2003
