What the hell?
Finally got my butt up to shower my lazy, nasty butt. And shampoo my nasty, greasy hair. I had my mom braid it with some olive oil in it, then pulled it out after 2 days and have been pulling it into a ponytail whenever I stepped out of the bedroom, for probably another 2 days.
Yesterday, I had a slight relapse of my PJ gene and bought some stuff I was dying to try. Of course, 90% of it was conditioners, so that will have to wait for another day.
Anywho...I bought AOHR (really really really don't like the scent, but who does), so I washed my hair, then put in the AOHR, let it sit in for a few minutes to remove the dead grass feeling, rinsed, added a bit of B&B Creme de Coco.
Styling: I put a smidge of Biotera Curl Cream in, then put in TIGI Creative Genius. I doubt it's CG, but don't know for sure. Smells like coconut, I think and uses Polyquats for those whose hair loves it. Plopped for 20 minutes and popped up to diffuse.
Holy hair, Batman! I think this process might result in ringlets. You heard me, ringlets! Who knew that an impulse buy might just result in my HG product? And this stuff is thick, but easily dispensed and has glitter in it. Glitter! Do you know how much this makes me laugh that it works? My brother used to used this stuff to make his hair spike and stay, for heavens sake. Should've known it would be my pimp gel.
Just had to share the joy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

cool, I like experimenting with new products, whether it's CG or not. I avoid cyclopentasiloxane cone, but other than that anything is game for me. Does your hair look glittery or shiney?

It looks shiny, which is probably a first for me since going curly. And, if you look realllllyyy close, you can see the glitter, which is strangely fun for me.
I looked at it and it only had PEG Dimethicone! Who knew?
I am slightly disappointed with one of my purchases at Whole Foods. I bought a JASON moisturizing conditioner and it has the dreaded Cyclopentasiloxane! What? I demand a recount...seriously. Guess it'll be going down as the most expensive shaving lotion ever.

But .... how do you know what product produced these fabulous results? Perhaps it was the combination of all the things you did!
I love the glitter part, though. That's pretty cool.

I will work on pictures. I didn't have a camera, so I'll do it again tomorrow and take pics.
You're right, I don't know if it was the combo of all of the above, but I've used all but the AOHR and the Creative Genius. I suppose the AOHR could have given me enough moisture to give ringlets, but I would like to attribute it to the Creative Genius.

Kitara -- you are now crowned the queen of smileys (I was impressed last week by the angel/demon see-saw you created, but this beats all)
Sunshinegirl -- you are such a PJ enabler, first your shopping spree, and now this nonsense?? Come on! (but really, we must see pictorial proof)
(I just stuck this in because I like it and can never find a use for it)

You're giving me too much credit. I don't "create" them, I just steal them from other boards and use them here. I've been a member of a particular board for 3-4 years now and just know what smilies they have so it's easier for me to use those than to look through the new ones to find the one I want to use.

What is AOHR?
Which product had the glitter in it?

AOHR is Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner. I found it at Whole Foods.
The product that had the glitter in it is the TIGI Creative Genius.

Okay, team...after much anticipation, I give you pictures! Just for you, people, I got my nasty butt out of bed again to shower and do my hair...all for proof positive.
The hair in pictures is approximately 60% dry and still crunchy. And I mean crunchy. One slight difference, I did not apply the Biotera Curl Cream since I realized it has sodium something which was producing the dead grass feeling. So I just used Creme de Coco as leave-in and TIGI Creative Genius as gel.
Here goes. Pictures with dry and de-crunched hair to follow.
