For those of you who use a gel with RR and CCSS, which gel do you prefer? Do you use it over RR and under CCSS, or over both?

I'm revisiting Jessicurl products, and, while I'm loving the softness and definition, I think I need a little more hold.

I've used LA Looks and Biotera Gel over both RR and CCSS. I think the Biotera keeps my curls defined, and less crunchy than the LA looks does. Probably because it's easier to distribute through my hair.

I've used the Aveda Flax Seed and Aloe Gel over both RR and CC. I've also used it over just the RR and left off the CC. I had pretty good results with both those.

This has been my all-time best combo to date. I condition, use Shea Moisture Leave-in, rake in RR, and then scrunch in the Aveda gel. The leave-in is key, however -- without it, I get dry frizz with this combo.

Yes! The Aveda gel is drying so a leave-in is a must.

Thanks for all of the responses, Ladies. Going to try to get out today to get some products with which to experiment.

I don't like Confident Coils that much. However, I have used Rockin' Ringlets with got2b spiked up gel with great curly results. I had to use a leave-in (some Too Shea!) to prevent dryness and a diffuser for volume and holding the curl.
