Latest dumb move

Today, I decided that mixing a wee bit of Jessicurl oil into my Max Green Alchemy Sculpting Gel sounded like a good idea. Wrong. Gave me hair that looked a little crispy here and there. Definitely gave me frizz, too.

What was I thinking?

Have you done something equally dumb recently?

I did swap you my oil. And then I started reading how maybe oil works better if it's applied to wet hair. So I bought it *again* (from another nc.com'er!).

It reminds me of this joke I heard by a comedian I've long since forgotten. "I don't understand people who try to get back together with somebody they've broken up with. You don't go to the refrigerator, smell the milk, decide it's bad and say, "Hmm. It's bad. Guess I'll come back again tomorrow and try it then."

I am revisiting hair products that I've already dismissed as incompatible with my hair. Hope springs eternal.

Hahaha!

Well I like it but it's kind of strong smelling. I'm not a huge fan of the fragrance and preservatives, but on the other hand I kind of like the preservatives because I can leave it in the bathroom unlike my coconut oil. Which I have to keep in the fridge, excavate with a spoon, and microwave.

I haven't done much dumb lately besides airdrying with no product tonight for that one thread...
Ha ha, don't beat yourself up Jillipoo. I know I've "broken up" with a hair product only to get back together again, sometimes we need more than once to learn our lesson! Kiehl's silk groom is just one, we've been on and off for years - it's like a boyfriend you can't decide whether to dump, sometimes he treats you right, other times leaves you feeling deflated and limp! I've never tried the Jessicurl oil but I did like Jojoba oil. And I can totally understand trying to make the Max Green work - well, for me anyway it doesn't have any hold, I've been mixing it with stronger hold gels though so it's not a total waste
I do that all the time. I always go back to a product that totally did NOT work for me thinking that by some miracle it will magically give me awesome curls.
That's part of the reason I can't seem to part with half the crap I have in my stash. Always holding on to that last little shred of hope, I guess.
