Default Pineapple Techniques

I was curious if anyone had any specific techniques to pineapple their hair at night. I have been using a scrunchie to tie it on top of my head, but my roots are sore in the morning when i take it down. Anyone else have this happen? What is your technique?

Maybe you're making your pineapple too tight. My scrunchie is small enough that I just put it in and that's it. The point is to make it as loose as possible so that you don't have any indentations in your hair in the morning. At least that's what I do, since I'm always going for that 2nd day hair!

I use a soft velvety scrunchie and only put it up once - I don't twist or make it tight. It helps me keep my hair our of my face at the same time!
