This is before, I liked this hair, or else I wouldn't have taken this picture. Somebody should have slapped me across the face

This is after, with a failed, way to dark, haircolor, growing out haircut and way to pale (wintersun = bad for photo's for a dumbass like me ), AND I STILL LOOK MUCH BETTER THEN BEFORE

For the first time in my life, I am really looking forward to long hair. If I hadn't found this, I would have gone back to dreadlocks once again.

Before CG (as close to straight as my hair gets):

After 1st Deva cut (a month or so into CG):

After nearly 3 months CG, on my curliest day (ignore the date- I'd just replaced batteries and didn't reset it):

Looking good, kindawavy! You so remind me of Ashley Jensen (from Ugly Betty) in that first picture.

Here is my after pic!
I love your hair cut. Was it cut by a CG trained stylist? I wish I could find someone up here in MN that could cut curly hair well
It's Gorgeous!!!

Looking at these transformations has officially inspired me to take the CG leap. It kills me to waste all my mostly full, silicone-y, sulfate-y products but everyone's hair looks so amazing that I have to give it a shot.

There are several threads about what you can do with your non-CG products once you decide to go CG and have good results and want to stick with it. My personal favorite is to donate them to a women's shelter. Others include using shampoo as laundry/dish detergent, using conditioners as shaving creams, etc

Alternative uses for unwanted products

The best marketing team in the world probably couldn't design a better advertisement than this thread. :P If I hadn't gone through the same transformation, I definitely would have thought there was some sort of catch!

I had a short, kinky perm because I thought I had lost my curls. I was shampooing, blowdrying, and use absolute no conditioner.

Growing out a bob. Same condition.

Modified Curly Girl growing out.

This is the day before I went CG. (I'm really bad at taking pictures of myself.)

This is the next day using CG products. Sorry I look like a tool. It was very early in the morning before class.

longlivecurls likes this.
