Everyone has really great transformations. Congrats you guys! The only non-CG method pictures I have was when I was natural as a kid. This is pretty much my hair everyday when I was a kid, I would have been shocked if you had told me my hair could have clumped curls :

I went CG right when I went natural after years of relaxing my hair. Imagine my surprise when little corkscrew curls of varying size began appearing. They don't show up real well on camera but these pictures kind of give you an idea of it's new clumpiness (pardon the extra product, it dried clear. I'm still experimenting with amount):

I do want to let anyone know who is thinking of going CG that you probably aren't going to get these kinds of results just by cutting out sulfates and silicones. Just wanted to make that clear becuase I was kind of confused about that seeing all these amazing before and afters. Most of these people can tell you they needed some type of product and application technique with that product to clump curls. I personally used Herbal Essences Hello Hydration as leave in and another Herbal Essence product for styler and applied by raking through my hair with my fingers. You don't have to buy a bunch of products and try every technique under the sun. Just find the one that works for you. Going CG doesn't have to be complicated. I am modified CG becuase I use HEHH.

sorry can't figure it out, may be i'm dense......but i can't find it anywhere
is it CG? i think...hmmm now i'm real confused
Wow I love just to keep looking at this thread over and over again. I;ve never seen so many pictures of beautiful curls. This definetly motivates me to go CG!

Anybody know any organic conditioners or products that are CG acceptable..i refuse to use anything that isn't organic
Sometimes I think the craziness just curls out of my head..

So if you use only organic hair products you may already be CG. For specific organic and CG lines check out Kinky Curly.

I love evreyones hair but im new to this and im still confused to what CG is, and how to post a thread
any help?
Before:

After:

Not sure whether I like the transformation. I really dislike my shorter hair, and the lack of cones has lead to shrinkage. My waves turned back into ringlets though.
2a/3a. Very fine. Porous.
No Poo/Low Poo: CJ Daily Fix, Mop Top Gentle Clarifying Shampoo
Conditioner: SS Caitlin's Conditioner, SS Deeply Decadent, SS Repairing Protein Treatment
Stylers: SS CEJ, SS FHG, KCCC

i tried to attach pics but it wouldnt work so instead i made a fotki of before and afters.... hair still isnt what it once was, i used to have a full head of tiny ringlets, but its getting there again... hopefully!! p.s today was by far my best cg day yet... so this is better than usual results, almost no frizz!!!

Your transformations are all amazing !!

Here is mine:

Before CG - 2007

After CG - End of 2007

I'm still following that method, even if sometimes I shampoo my hair (with a sulfate-free shampoo).
By the way, sweetpeacurli, I really like your website!
But I would have liked to see more pics on it
Anyway, congrats on your work for this site!
for those of you wondering what CG (Curly Girl) is: there is a sticky on the no-poo section called "intro to the no-poo method" and it explains everything. Also, Laura Lee's blog - dormroomcurly - has a great explaination if you can find it- sorry I don't know how to do links!

Are you talking about this page?

This article is very interesting!
yes that's it! I found it very helpful when I was starting- it tells just the basics you need to start CG before going product crazy!
Bump... I like this thread, I don't want it to be lost!
