Just curious ... how many of you use rollers or twirl your curls around your fingers? Everyone has such pretty ringlets in their pics. I've noticed some natural ringlets coming back after a week of CG after just scrunching in product. But do I need to roll or twirl every day?

CG since 2/23/10!

2B 3A mix, fine texture and high porosity at crown/bangs, normal elsewhere. I like protein!

Trying to grow out a short haircut.

WASH: Jessicurl Cleansing Cream (once every week or so)
CONDITION: Jessicurl Too Shea! or Aloeba Conditioner
STYLE: Jessicurl Gelebration Spray/Awe Inspiraling Spray

http://public.fotki.com/85MR2/ (PICS OF CG TRANSITION SO FAR) Need to update. No pics with the Jessicurl products yet, but I LOVE them!

But among the 3s and 2s it's really all about getting your hair to curl by itself xD (well, with a little help )

I use:
Garnier Ultra Doux conditioners
High in glycerin conditioners
As much gel as possible
Testing out flax seed gel
Plopping, for around 30 minutes
Pixiecurl drying
Pineappling

Thank you lody and 85MR2!! This makes me feel a bit more confident. I was afraid I'd have to start twirling my hair. I simply do not have the patience for it and wanted to go as natural as possible.

After conditioning, it takes less than 5 minutes to "fix" my hair now so far.
Began CG 03/13/2010. No CG cut yet.
CO: Avalon Organics "Lavender Nourishing conditioner" & honey
Cleanser (1 X ea wk): lemon juice & CO
Product: Curl Keeper
Styling: No brush, no pick, no dryer. Just my fingers, gravity, and God.
Yay for you I take a lot longer, but my hair is just annoying like that (it's also longer than yours, quite a bit, if that's you in your avatar!).

Sometimes I use: TRESemme flawless curls shampoo
Co-wash: Suave Green Apple
Conditioner: Garnier Fructis Oil Repair
Styling: Flaxseed gel, shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie

Still experimenting...

Your curls are beautiful, plus they look soft and touchable. That's hard to pull of in high humidity! Way to go.

Hair goal: Waist length healthy curls
just looking through a couple pages of this inspired me to give this more of a try than I'd considered before (I'm so low maintenance with my hair, but maybe I need to bump up the attn.)

I was so inspired to do this that I made an account just so I could post to this once I had a before and after. I already found one of my "bad hair day" photos so I'm armed with a before. I doubt I'll go fully CG, but I figure even a little can't hurt! (getting rid of those sulfates and silicones should be a good start, and ditching the brush) Wish me luck

Wow! I just went through this entire thread! I wish there were more pics of Type 4 hair, but oh well! You ladies have done marvelous transformations with your tresses! I'm a type 4 (I think I'm med/normal porosity and density, still working on the texture thing). I hope my curls/waves/whatever they are POP too!

Just got 2.5" damage cut off to prepare my hair for being grown out. I am currently at 3 months CG and my hair feels and looks better than ever!

And then this is a totally random photo, but my sister was taking pictures for my portfolio (I am a second year fashion design student) and I got bored and twirled around and she snapped a photo, but conveniently my hair looks great so I thought I'd share that too.

Everybody is looking beautiful!!

Late 2006; pre CG, after brushing my hair out (eeek)

The height of my flat iron love affair, July 2009. Sure, it was long and straight, but the process was damaging and time consuming.

Today. Never mind my crazy face my hair is still a work in progress (I'm working on growing it out) but I feel like I've come a long way.

Everyone's hair looks so lovely! I've found this thread to be really inspiring.
