Aw haha thank you! And actually I made this dress for my construction class, but I know EXACTLY what F21 dress you are talking about, I used to work there! I always wanted the purpley version of it The fabric is uncannily similar though.

I visied this board a year ago and then had another baby ( this one with curly hair!) and now I'm back. I am looking to change my routine - my hair is softer and healthier, but it still is not as curly as I would like it and the top is still flat. Not sure what to do about it. I have to use cheap products, so if anyone has recommendations, let me know. These pics were taken a few weeks ago.
My usual routine is wash with burts bees super shiny, the condition with that pink loreal conditioner for curly hair? and leave in Say Yes to Cucumbers. Then I usually use LA Looks clear gel and sometimes Aveda be curly ( got it as a present) cream and gel.. scrunch with a t-shirt and air dry.

Looks good though Kali! I think we have similar hair, only my wave/curl pattern is a little weaker than yours I think. Maybe using a diffuser upside down? I don't have one so I haven't tried. Also, you might try plopping, and maybe use the Icequeen method in the shower.

"CG" is the Curly Girl method for taking care of curly hair. It involves using products without silicones or sulfates. Check out naturallycurly.com in the forum section and there's tons about it there!

I have curls! But of what type?
Still a little frizz here and there, but I went from a light wavy to definite curls.
I wonder, will it continue to curl more? I like the curls I have, don't need much more...

After 4 days of GC, trying plopping some then diffusing pixiegirl style with extra gel in the middle of diffusing. I like it, just maybe want it a little less wet looking. It was windy out today.
From the back. Some hair out of place from wind.

Yours is super pretty and I'm envious of your length.
How long have you been CG and what are you using?

Pre-CG (10/08 ) - I'm the pregnant one, 2nd from left
BC 10/31/09 - got 12" cut off, and imagine my surprise when my hair was not just wavy, but CURLY!
Approx 3 weeks CG - getting curlier
Today - approx 5 months CG + a curly cut later (not the best hairday, but you get the idea )...I'm actually due for another cut, because it's growing fast, and my curls turn to waves as it gets longer...I am simply amazed at the curls I can get now!

Great hair, KalitShanti! I tried viewing your fotki pictures, but the link didn't work. Is it mis-typed in your sig, by chance?

Thank you, 85MR2!
I've been CG for a little over 6 months. I just recently started using the DevaCurl products (mainly One Condition and Arc Angell), but they're really expensive for me being a poor college student and all. Before Deva I used Suave Coconut conditioner as a co-wash, I used Aubrey Organiics Honeysuckle Rose Moisturizing Conditioner as a detangler/rinse out, I used Giovanni Direct Leave-in and L.A. Looks Sport gel. Hope that helps!
