I just started CG a few weeks ago, and today was actually my very first really, really good hair day. So I thought "Oh perfect time to post pictures!"
Pre-CG
About 4 years ago when my hair was much, much shorter (chin length if straightened) and could do this all by itself (Ok, with a little bit of Frizz-ease).
And this is minutes before my final sulfate wash.
Post-CG
3 weeks in!

Does anyone still get good results with the CG method if you have to use T-Gel Shampoo for psorsis 2 or 3 times a week? I have been putting conditioner all along my hair before I use it.

I posted in this thread once, shortly after it first started...
Post your before & After CG pics
I think it is so damn awesome and adorable that it's still going!
I can't believe I once happily left the house every day with my hair looking like this...
July 2003
Yeah. Not so pretty.
And now... well, check it out. (Click to make bigger.)
In case I don't say it enough... damn I love this site. (**hugs everyone**)

Thank you!! Right now I am using almost all Deva. I've HAD the Deva products for quite a while - I just really didn't know how to use them properly. So, my hair never came out right. I'm more focused now and able to use them the way they're supposed to be used. Plus, I've discovered rudeechick's super soaker method - that made a HUGE difference for me. I have some other products on order to try. We'll see how the others stack up against Deva. Who knows?... Maybe I'll find my HG!

Thank you! The first pic was normal shampoo w/the usual sulfates. What do I mean by using them properly.... First, I wasn't co-washing when I bought my Deva stuff. I was following my normal, old routine: wash twice with shampoo, squeeze out water w/towel, apply conditioner (soaking hair with it), comb through, and leave on for remainder of shower. Rinse just before getting out. Pile on top of head in a towel.
Now I (1) don't use a towel for anything but my body (lol) - I use either a microfiber towel, hand-dry hair gloves (LOVE them), a pillow case, or a cotton tee shirt, (2) I don't squeeze out all the water anymore (because I don't have a NEED to if I'm conditioning properly, (3) I use more Deva products than I was back then - I tried using AnGEL (alone) and no leave-in and my hair was crunchy AND frizzy (figure that one out!).
So, my whole process back then was based on my old routine rather than knowing how to work with layering products. (I never did that before - I used to use HETT Mousse all the time and that was IT.) This time, I followed Rudeechick's routine from her SuperSoaker video except I used whatever products I had on hand (which happened to be Deva products). It used more products than I was used to. But, my hair came out a LOT better.

I love this thread so much - it is so inspiring to see how everyone else is doing, especially on those days when I just want to throw in the towel. I'm only on day 58, but I'm so, so happy with my hair, for the first time in 43 years - and today, a lady behind me in the check-out line at the grocery store complimented me. She said my hair was pretty. Pretty! I have never been told that when my hair was in its natural state. Bliss!
Day 1 CG: (Aside from the dry, frizzy hair, I also look like I'm taking a serial killer mug shot. Note to self - wear make-up when taking photos for nc.com!)
Day 55 CG:
