I am the only girl in my eintire family with really curly hair! My mom has straight hair. I've never known how to take care of it so it stays in a ponytail. My avatar picture is from when I was 3. . But here are 2 hair before shots I will post an after soon.

Ok girlies, I'm starting also "again" with the CG routine,
I expect my products in the mail tomorow,
I didn't actually know for sure what I had to buy so I checked the curlmart site for cg friendly products.
I really would like to try and stick with it.

I am in awe of the pictures on here. Everyone looks GREAT.
My first pic is pre-CG last spring. The others were taken this past week. I've been CG since Jan 11. I'm still learning but am impressed with how much I have learned the last month.

Wow! If ever there was an advertisement for trying the CG method it's the beautiful curls I've witnessed in the above threads. I'm embarking on the CG journey myself and if my hair turns out to be anywhere near the gorgeous styles I've seen above, I'll be very happy!

This gives me hope!!
I wasn't 100% sure about CG, so I read the book, and did my research... but this is definitely my inspiration! The pictures in the book are enough to get me on board, but this just makes it way more attainable haha (if that even makes sense)
My hair has been a limp lifeless mess for a while now and after spending outrageous amounts of money on products (cough cough Ouidad...) that I thought would magically give me pretty bouncy ringlets, but didn't, I am ready to make a change.

This is my "before" (aka while I wait for my DevaCurl to come in the mail)
Do I have hope?! (I'll be sure to post an after picture.. if this works out)

so ive been going for about 6 or 7 weeks now curly girl. Had to resist posting earlier pics. thought id wait as much as i could, but its time. I shall re-post in the distant future when its all grown out and the heat damage is completely repaired, but until then, i think even 6 wks has made a huge difference. infact... ONE week made a difference! Curly girl all the way :-)
this is before cg, like a week before. its normal blowdried hair with serum in it to try to make it less fluffy and frizzy. i was lucky to find a pic seeing as i wouldnt be caught dead with my hair like that before CG!
before:
this is now... only 6 weeks in... with nothing but scrunched out gel. thats natural shine. my hair is getting alot curlier too i think. what curl type do you think i have so far?
cant wait to see if it spirals more when it grows out. the longer the better!
