Curls&Agape, are you sure those photos are all you? Because I would swear that those befores and afters can't possibly be the same head! Awesome, awesome results - no wonder you're so psyched! And no frizz - color me big time jealous!

WOW. I am so amazed at all the transformations. This is the thread I first saw when I learned about this site, which immediately made me want to try it. I'm happy to announce that it worked!

Before CG:

One month later:

So, thank you to those who made this site, and all the vets who are so incredibly helpful.

I think I posted on here years ago when I first went CG. And then I went back to shampoo for 2/3 years. Now Im back on the CG bandwagon. Here's my hair before and after 1 month CG Im getting far better results this time - I actually understand what Im doing this time around lol!

Everyone's hair looks fabulous as always!

This thread is truly inspirational. Since I just got my first curly cut from the infamous Struttswife, I thought I would post my before and after pics.

Way, way before... big 80s hair and a mullet!

The last 5 years or so was pretty much a pony tail every day with frizzy fuzz at the nape of my neck and temples.

For special occasions I might wear it down once or twice a year. Fortunately, I almost never blow dried it and the few times I straightened, my hubby hated it and I hated doing it so I stopped.

This is the day after I decided to axe the ponytail. I did my first deep treatment, but not completely CG-converted yet.

This is now - the day after my visit to Tiffany of Live Curly Live Free. About 5-6 weeks into transitioning to CG, maybe 3 weeks totally 'cone free because I kept finding the buggers in more stuff.
Sue

Axed the perpetual ponytail and went curly on 1/6/2011.
Hair Properties: 3a/b, fine-medium texture, thick density, normal porosity.
Location: FL
Still experimenting with
products and routine.
So far, I like: FSG, GTTTT, V05 Conditioners, protein treatments, this towel.

I've actually found that even though my hair type is "Wavy" or "S'wavy" if I wash all the conditioner out it doesn't look very good. When I leave practically all of it in, it curls way more. But I guess it's what works for your hair, right? I'm so thrilled I found the CG Method and I'm excited to see my hair rise to it's potential over the next while.

The only problem is that it loses it's some of it's curl overnight and doesn't look very great :P So practically the only people who have seen how curly it's been getting are me and my family, because I take a shower at night. By the time for school the next day it's not quite as good, but I still get comments on "did you curl your hair?" No, it's natural! Or at least...it is now.

AND my hair looses its curl if I touch it or sleep on it or pull it up in a ponytail, but going with CG I also see more curls coming up. Any suggestions??

Good luck!
Someone help me make my hair look like Merida from Brave that's all I want.

Well, what I've been hearing around the forums is trying a samari bun, or pineapple ponytail on top of your head (these you can see in the CG book) or, some people suggest "plopping" your hair overnight. Others say that overnight is too long for plopping and it should only be done for around 20 minutes. -shrug- I'm just experimenting right now to see what works for me! If anything works well for you, I'd love to hear about it, and I'll do the same back to you!
this was last year. since then the front of my hair had gone completely straight because i was curling it with a straightener everyday:

this is 1 month in:

and this was today (3 months in):

i couldn't be more happy with the results! hopefully it just keeps getting better!
Type: 2b but starting to see some 3a pieces in there! medium density, normal porosity, normal elasticity, easily weighed down

That's it. There are so many gorgeous curls on this thread you have convinced me to have a go at full CG. I'm going to start tomorrow.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
K so I've been doing CG since November 2010 and I have not seen much of a difference... I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?
