Ohh my goshh! You guys have such amazing hair.
Because of you, I'm still trying to get my curls how I wanted.
Blah, I'm so frustrated!

My hair was curlier before I started having babies in 2004, but I don't have any digital photos of it then.
Here is an example from April 2007, which shows how much my hair hates cones. My daily poo with light conditioner had dimethicone in it and I was using a pomade that surely had cones.
This is a pic from today using a cocktail of homemade flax gel and max green alchemy sculpting gel. (I still get a lot of fluctuation in my wave/curl pattern from day to day, but very rarely as straight as the above pic unless I'm reacting to a product or ingredient.)
And this is just one of my favorites from earlier this year...

Haircuts...
Hi Ladies,
First of all, the results are drastic after CG. Your hair looks great! I was hoping to get some info on the specific products you've been using on your hair and the things you stopped doing to your hair to get those results.
Also, everytime I get my haircut too much is cut off. I've been telling my stylist that I want to grow it but just looked at a photo of my hair last year and it's basically the same length now. My question is..how often do you get your haircut and do you have layers?
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.
Your Fellow Curly Girl.

I love these pics! They're so gorgeous. The transformations are awe-inspiring.
As for me, I can never do full CG (tried twice), so I use shampoo (sometimes with sulfates) about every other day and CG-friendly conditioner (However, I'm trying one with dimethicone soon; my frizz is driving me nuts. ). I've given up on cyclopentasiloxane, mineral oil, and other substances that can build up terribly, so I consider myself modified-CG.
Pre-CG: Matrix Sleek.look shampoo and conditioner
Mod CG: Nexxus Aloe Rid 'poo, VO5 Conditioner, Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Conditioning Spray, and Herbal Essences Set Me Up Spray Gel

Mint, you and I have similar hair routines! You're the first person on this site that says you use sulfates and some light cones, while avoiding mineral oil and cyclo..xanes. I'm definitely going to try out some of your products now--your pics are very nice!

Hooray, I'm not alone! Maybe we're hair twins? I hope my reviews are helpful. There's going to be one coming up soon on the fotki for Pantene Restoratives Breakage Defense Conditioner. I was inspired by a relative who has perfectly shiny, soft, smooth wavy hair after using the Pantene brunette condish, and I found the Breakage Defense has very similar ingredients...
Btw, thanks, I try to take good pics. XD

Mint...I love your signature quote. That's really cool. I'm a musician and sometimes dabble in writing my own music. The quote is so true.

Well mine is not nearly as good as all of yours but im very happy with it.
Pre-CG

This is one of the few times my hair wasn't in a bun and after I put lots of stuff in it and tried (unsuccessfully) to make it look nice.
CG

This was yesterday. I consider this a very good hair day for me. So thanks for all the info and help you guys.

Alyssa_k, I can definitely see a difference in your hair. You banished the frizz and achieved more curl. Very pretty.

Here's a Pre CG pic from earlier this year (from January I think) ...
And a picture with straightened hair ....
This is a month into my mod CG routine (I use shikakai once in two weeks ... don't think that's pure cg right? )

I dont have any real great shots. My hair was always a shorter. The black dress one is in 2003 and the one with the cute guy is 2003 and the middle one is January 2008.
I think I need to go to short again - I wonder if I can take 5 years off!!
