I don't have a picture of my hair curly from before because i always used to straighten it but this is a picture of it straight around December last year, looking like broomstick ends.

And here it is after about 5 months of using the CG method on my hair. It's a little bit longer now then it is in that picture.

And this was taken yesterday while my hair was still wet and i was looking very pale lol.

wow arjay you look gorgeous! your hair really suits you!

With all these before/afters you can tell that people really glow when they embrace their natural hair texture...its almost like when people say not to stray to far from your natural hair color, I guess we all started out perfect but just screw it up trying to change what Got gave us

I've been CG for about 3 months and before I went CG I would straighten my hair endlessly!

And here is a photo of it on one of my too lazy to straighten days

As you can see I would still straighten the front pieces

And now this is my CG hair

I love it! ^.^

Lovely curls ladies!

I don't have pictures of myself with curl hair before because I would always straighten my hair too. So here's one of my straight hair before my modified CG:

And after (curly):
[1st day]

[2nd day]

[3rd day]

I think this is like a month or so of modified CG?

Thank you. The middle photo was from a fashion show. It's strange how much confidence you gain in yourself when you decide to embrace something that you've spent so long trying to prevent. People say it makes me look more natural and suits me better. I find that true with a lot of curlies.

I've been CG for about 3 months, I used to straighten every day, and now am paying the price with thinning hair, argh! I also just (as in 2 days ago) figured out how to make sure my back is wavy and not flat! 

That is December of 09

These were today

I like this hair much better! 

Before CG- this was taken within the last few months. After child #3, I gave up on styling and would just shower, brush and let it air dry without product. I thought I had lost the curl.

About 1 month after starting CG.

Thanks!! I am so excited to have discovered CG! As far as my routine, I start with Deva Curl No-Poo and Tresemme naturals conditioner. Typically I'll do the ice queen method which seems to work really well. I scrunch a lot of the water out with my hands and then a microfiber towel while in the shower still. Then I apply FSG, plop for about 15 minutes. When I take it out of the plop, I scrunch in about a tablespoon of half Deva Curl B'Leave-In and half Eco Styler Krystal. Then I pixie diffuse until mostly dry and SOTC. I've experimented a lot and this is the routine and products that consistently give me good results. Now I need to figure out 2nd day hair!

Default My Curly Hair traformation

Hello Curlies out there, I have been reading this thread for almost a year now and have been trying out, experimenting various methods to naturally curly hair. I am really glad I found this message board and have recommended to lot of my curly friends.Absolutely adore all the curly hair pictures in this thread and finally decided to share mine. I am still not sure if I am a 2c or a 3a. I think I am a 3a on the sides and fore head. 2a on the back of head. Please post your comments and suggestions, it means a lot to me.

Here are some Pictures of transformation

February, the last time I tried to wear it "curly"

Today, 2 weeks CG and the first day I've been happy with how it turned out after it totally dried for longer than 2 hours

Wink

Although I'm technically about 4 days into CG, I took a "before CG" pic this morning in hopes that soon I'll figure out how to correctly do CG for my hair and then will have a nice "after CG" pic to post. In the meantime, I'll come back to this thread again and again as inspiration to keep working on it.

Fingers crossed for an "after CG" pic soon enough.
