creativelicense, "good" doesn't even begin to describe how your hair looks - WOW is more like it! You could be a poster child for the CG method, seriously. Congrats on a beautiful head of hair!
I agree! Her hair looks amazing, such a drastic change! I hope my hair ends up looking that good eventually.
Britney, Rustina, you both are so sweet! I've got remember your kind thoughts when I'm having bad hair days and I'm not loving my curls.

Also, gracielou, your hair is BEAUTIFUL!

A week and a half of CG... I've never been so excited about my curls! Usually my curly hair gave me the triangle effect...flat on top and poofy on bottom...but now...OMG! love my curls

the first two pictures are the day before I went CG (July '11), right after my hair was dry with no product. The last picture was about 2 weeks ago, finished diffusing with product in.

Okay. Serious hair envy.

Its stunning! Im so jealous! I'd kill for curls like that! I so wish I could go full CG and co-wash but I simply cannot do it in hard water. Way too much build up!

I was technically pretty much CG before I knew what CG was, but I'm also proof that technique is just as important as product. The first picture is from last summer- I was already using all Deva products for over a year, but was adding Biosilk Silk Therapy (filled with cones) most days, and towel drying (I've been drying with a diffuser since high school, but definitely not the same technique I've learned in the last couple months.

Second picture is immediately following my final sulfate wash.

Third picture is a few weeks in (right before I realized I needed protein).

Last picture is from last night, about 3 months since I started CG.

While I'm doing this, can I get some honest opinions? Does my hair look worse than I think... or, does it look wet? I'm trying to compare mine to others but everyone else looks better than me lol. I'm trying some trial and error and I'm pretty sure I over did it with the gel but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your honesty.

In my honest opinion, your curls look absolutely gorgeous CurlieCaper! They definitely don't look 'wet' or producty, just naturally beautiful. What I love about curly hair is that we are all unique. I envy other people's curls, but I also make the best of my own. Wear them with pride!

I had curls when I was little...until I took scissors to them while playing "salon" when I was three, haha.

After that, my hair was straight, but it kept getting frizzy and coarse. My hairdresser have me a curly cut one say, and I got product to make it curl. Once, though, I forgot to use that product and found my hair was actually naturally curly

The first picture is my straight/frizzy hair, and the last is now, with the cowashing with KCKT, leave-in conditioning with KCKT + argan oil, and styling with KCCC.
Thanks for reading!

And btw, everyone's hair looks GORGEOUS!

Here's my updated before and after. The first pic was taken in September and the 2nd was taken this morning. I've been CG for 5 months now and I haven't had a haircut since before that. I would like it to grow to be APL or BSL.
