I got the devacut on Friday and so far I'm loving it. Plus the stylist gave me so many tips.
The first (green) was right after at the Salon. She used the Deva products after she did the cut and I'm not fond of the smell so don't think I'll ever buy them.
The last (purple) is from today and I've managed to get it close to how it looked leaving the salon.

Before and After
The first picture is before CG 10/2011
So dry...yuck lol
The second pic is about two weeks in after an overnight plop 2/12/13 and the third is last week, second day hair!!!
I am so happy with the results so far! I was a closet "ethnic hair product" user for years, Finally going for it and following CG has given me great hair days and amazing day two hair.....I never thought it was possible ")

Slightly different before and after
I'm going to wait until I'm fully 6 months CG to do a better one with the actual before and after but I'm having a 2C day today because couldn't be bothered to refresh or make my hair 3A again so I thought I'd show how fantastic CG is when you're a wavy-curly like me. (2C naturally, 3A and even 3B underneath with proper styling and product.) I wake up like Picture A and can leave it that way but when I do a refresh and add a little more styling product to reactive the curls my hair turns all ringlety again and changes back to Picture B. It's difficult to show on camera because my hair is dark but it's much more obvious in real life. Before CG I do never dream of having nice flowing waves let alone chunky curls. I just had a lot of bushy hair.

I keep waiting for it to grow out a little longer to see what it might do. I bet beach waves looks really pretty with your length.

Oh wow. I'm new here and am just now browsing through this before and after section. You probably won't see this, but your hair almost looks like mine starting out. It gives me hope! Are you Cowashing? I've thought about just going sulfate and silicone free.

Ok here goes... first pic from 2010, but pretty representative of my "normal hair". Excuse the weird face. Second pic is about 3 weeks into CG after being mod-CG for about 6 months...
That was probably my best day so far...
ETA (April 5) - just had a Deva cut and I'm really happy Last two pictures are from today (you may notice I also had a bit of colour done).
LOVE IT!

I should say you have heavenly hair MedusaWarrior. How do you get all that root curl/wave with all that length. My hair is absolutely flat on top, not even waves

Thank you CurlyIndianGirl! I think that's just my natural hair. My hair's really curly but because it's so long and thick the curls get looser so they're more wavier.
Maybe if I told you my routine there might be something to explain it?
Before washing I use a deep conditioning mask with honey and olive oil. I shampoo with a cheap silicone free shampoo and condition with rainforest moisture from the Body shop. Then I put my hair up in a towel for 5- 10 mins while I get dressed and apply some coconut oil to it. I split it in half and apply to each side, sometimes scrunching, and throw my hair forward (I don't know how to explain the position) and scrunch a bit with a tiny bit more oil. Then I sit by our wood stove and air dry. If we didn't have the stove my hair would never dry. Just before going to bed I'll diffuse around the root of my head to completely dry it. The first night I sleep with it in a very loose ponytail to calm it down a bit.
I don't know if that will help?

@MedusaWarrior
Thanks for your recs. I think it's just my hair and the genes. I should also say that even when my hair was short touching shoulders, I would struggle to get any root curl.
Now its about past waist and touching hips barely. I used to think mine was thick hair, I change my mind after seeing yours, My hair is lot thin, its not thick at all, I would have to change my signature also
