Post your before & After CG pics

I don't think I ever posted my pictures. I cut my hair right before starting because I couldn't deal with it. I kind of regretted it once I learned how to take care of my hair, but it's finally grown back.

Pictures:
  1. after last normal wash before starting CG
  2. one week on CG
  3. one month on CG
  4. 7 months on CG (don't mind the fake cuts, this was a PoA Hermione costume - it was hard to find a picture of my hair where I wasn't wearing a hat or had it pinned back)
  5. now, 4 years on CG
So keep at it! My hair used to always be such a frizzy, tangly mess. It took forever to brush, then I found out I shouldn't even be brushing it! I love my hair now and am so glad I found out about CG. I can't believe I went so long without it.

I used GTFN for one or two bottles and I forget why I switched - either they changed the formula or were simply out when I needed some. I can't go back now because I love the tingly sensation of TJTTT. I also used to alternate between V05 Tea Therapy and Suave Naturals, but once I found a mint scent, i keep reaching for that instead.

2c
mod-CG since 03/19/10
Co-Wash: V05TT in Vanilla Mint Tea
Condish: Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle
Style: HETT Scrunch Gel
First one is an extreme; probably one of my worst pre-CG hair days. More fluff than curl. The after is about two months into CG; still a little damp, but OMG, the difference in definition.

boucles, ladynove, aspen and 2 others like this.
2c. present color& past heat damage, fine, low-density, high porosity, happy with some protein. re-CG as of 5/2014. Wash:V05 PFS or KLS, RO: (trying to use up my stash; so it's always different!), LI: Cure Care, DT: SM Smooth & Repair Hair Masque, Style: Ecostyler Olive Oil / La Bella Lots of Curls gel

On a festival day before I knew curly girl even existed. I hadn't had a hair cut at this point, and I didn't know about argan oil, so I had no UV protection! I actually cringe at the thought! No wonder my hair felt like straw. Styling products at the time were Muk Heat Protectant oil and some type of alcohol-filled mousse, I imagine (fail). Shampoo and conditioner were Muk 'Deep Muk' Ultra Soft series. Yu(c)k. Obvious problems were frizz and zero curl definition.

Tonight, post-routine! Curl has definition, no obvious 'dry' bits and frizz is a thing of the past. #curlygirlforlife

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier.

About a week into CG my hair is recovering from chemicals! It's certainly smoother and less frizzy now. Here's my progression so far!
