Wow, it certainly seems so! And it's only the 1st week! It usually takes about 3 for the hair to get remoisturized, so you're doing very well. [/QUOTE]

Thank you! I'm just ready for healthy long hair...gotta keep pushing along! 😊
I started CG on July 21 of this year, after about a decade of straightening my hair with a flat iron every day. I've attached picture of my curls a few days before I started (the first two), and what they look like today (the last two). I am kind of flabbergasted at the difference in such a short time! I'm thrilled, I thought my curls were gone forever. But all they needed was a little TLC!

Edited to add: Can anyone tell me what kind of hair type I have? I know it doesn't really matter but I'm curious. When I started I thought I was a 2c-3a at best but now I don't know!

It's been about a year and a half since I started CG. In that time, my hair has grown from just below shoulder length to now past bsl. I currently lather/rinse/repeat with a loo poo, condition and secure with a claw clip while I shave/wash, plop while getting ready for work, scrunch out the excess water with an old t-shirt, and finally scrunch in whatever product I'm using for the day and let air dry. I used to shampoo every single day when I used sulfates and 'cones, but now I stretch that way out to once every 3-4 days depending on how my scalp feels.

First picture is from March 2013 when I first started CG. The other pictures are current.

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier.
Excited to finally be able to do this!!! I'm not very good with pictures so I hope this works.

The difference is blowing my mind. I couldn't be happier!!
Mixture of 2c/3a, thick, high porosity, high density. Dyehard in recovery. Name any color and I've rocked it- maybe even twice. Currently wearing my natural color, but itching to go blue again eventually. Conditioner only styling as of lately and loving it!

Alright, it's been about 7 months CG and while I've been noticing improvements, I didnt realize how drastic. Still having fun experimenting with products and techniques, but my go-to is the Smaster's method

I have been too intimidated by all of your spirals and ringlets to post yet. Maybe if I keep this up, I will end up with some =) Any tips/wisdom is appreciated!
I used to use a flat iron and curling iron all the time. Ironically, when I would curl my hair (which took forever), my husband loved it. I was debating getting a perm when I found this site. I ordered the CG book and I have been relentlessly attempting this for about 4 weeks now. I am still trying out products, so I won't list all that craziness yet.
1. This was a unique, pre CG day where I just did nothing to my hair and let the natural frizz take over =)
2. Today back
3. Today front

The only tip I have for you is keep doing what you're doing. You have beautiful hair!
