Help please =)

Just a question for you all. How do you deal with halo frizz? Seems that no matter what I do I always have these random hairs sticking out from the top of my head. Ive been wearing the top layer of my hair rolled back to hide it. I just noticed that it even happens when my hair is just about dripping wet. Any ideas what would cause this? And how to deal with it? Any suggestions are much appreciated!!

I have baby hairs that *insist* on sticking out of my part. I smooth them down with just a little bit of Aloe Vera Gel (I use Fruit of the Earth)

Aloe Vera Gel doesn't have enough hold for me to use it alone on my length, but it works great for those baby hairs that just need a little bit of weight to calm them down. I typically use it on dry 2nd day hair.

Well, I am not sure I am the best person to answer this since I decided to live with a bit of halo frizz because I couldn't conquer it without using several products.

I find using a leave-in, my curlease towel, and airdrying my hair reduce halo frizz. KCCC really helps as does a strong gel on top of everything. And Don't Touch It!!

Honestly, the only way I can be totally frizz free is to be so coated with products that I can't tell it is hair! I embrace a small amount of halo and call it a compromise.

It is better than fighting it all the time.
Growing out my curls. White hair, fine to medium texture but a lot of it. Low to medium porosity. Botticelli curls -- 2c/3a mix. My hair loves protein.

Shell78 - I actually meant to pick up some Aloe from the store yesterday and forgot =( Any specific Aloe I need to get? Or will the Aloe stuff from Walmart be ok?

Pigreyhound- I might end up doing the same as you lol. The rest of my hair is fairly frizz free it seems just the halo stuff. Another issue Im having is my bangs, I had cut them short when I was still flat ironing my hair and they just dont curl nice this short and frizz something fierce. Ive been rolling them up with my hair when I do that.

If you decide to get a different brand, read the ingredients carefully and watch out for drying alcohols - not all Aloe Vera Gels are the same.

The first thing I would do is see if there is a way to reduce frizz in your current routine then see if you could add a product that you know reduces frizz. (Like CK or KCCC)

When I had difficult bangs, I used the old fashioned bobby pins and just pinned them back into the rest of my hair. Basically, I refused to bother with them and just let them grow out and become curly with time.

I have been basically pinning them back though. I think my top layer of hair is fairly fried because its alot drier than the rest of my hair. So what Ive been doing is putting my bangs and the top layer of hair into two ... rolls I would call them and pinning it all back. You can see what I mean in my fotki album lol. Thanks again!
