Does anyone else find BRHG curl enhancing?

I've been using BRHG for 3 days now and I am getting some serious curls that are lasting all day with minimal frizz. Does anyone else, especially 2s, I guess, find this gel to be curl enhancing? I knew people were raving about hold, but the definition and extra shine were unexpected treats for me. =)

But I definetly get more curls when I use this as my "gel" than any others. Maybe it does? Or maybe its just a function of how well it holds a curl.

What is BRHG?

I don't know if it's the BRHG, but it seems to be. I've been playing with my conditioners, too, but the first day I used BRHG alone and it totally rocked. Second day I added a little QCCC and still got great curl, but it poofed a little more as they day progressed. Today I used the BRHG alone again and again lots more curl than I've been getting in the last few weeks with other products...I'm really lovin' it!

And BRHG is Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee.

You can find Biosilk at Sally's, right?

Yeah, I'm having a hard time getting curl enhancement with my current products. I mean they make everything nicely defined, and not frizzy, but no curl enhancement. Not even with CJ's curl booster .

Like I need to go on another PJ binge, lol!
Wurly, fine, thin, moderately to heavily porous. Mod CG.

I haven't tried BRHG by itself, but I always get great, boingy curls AND hold when I use it with Mop-C. I'll try it by itself tomorrow. I love this gel.

No, you can't get it at Sally's, but it available at Ulta, Beauty Brands, and Target.

I have not used BRHG alone, but I have been having great results using it over Giovanni Smooth as Silk condditioner as my leave-in/curl cream.

The curls are soft, boingy and well-defined. I am also seeing more shine than I have with any other gel. Although, I am not totally sure if the shine is from the gel or the condish. Either way, I am lovin' this combo!

Never mind--I finally found the answer upthread.

iwantcurls, I looked at your photos, and have to say how great your hair looks! (I was also thrilled that I could actually see the photos--I can never get to the actual photos on most people's links). My face shape and features are similar to yours and I like your haircut, so I may be taking some of your photos to the salon next time I go!

He calls it a gypsy cut; it's for long layers.

I'm so excited that my top layers are finally catching up with the bottom. Last time he only took the very ends (1/8 inch or so) off the top, and about 1 inch off the bottom. If I keep doing that I should make it to my goal of all one length (or close) soon.

Maybe more than you wanted to know, but thanks for listening, lol. I'm so happy I'm making it past the point where I usually get frustrated and have it cut super short again!

Last night I checked Sallys (that's before you all replied lol) and they didn't have it, nor did they have a generic brand. Target had Biosilk, but only a conditioner and shampoo. So then I checked online, and they said they don't have the BRHG in stores, only online . I'll keep looking though- your stories are inspiring me!

Ah ha, I found it! I just wasn't looking in the right place. For those located in the midwest, look to Trade Secret

Do you have to buy it in a salon/Ulta/Trade Secret?
I've seen it at Kmart, Cost Cutters, and I think CVS.
Are those not the "real" thing, since they're not an authorized vendor?

Thanks,
Sherry
I've used it for the last two days. Wow! Definitely curl-enhancing. I've been using it with just SheaM underneath. May try something else under it tomorrow

Love it, love it love it. Have used it for years now on my otherwise frizz ball of limp waves. Also love its sister Chi Infra Gel, which is just a tad less crunchy (and smells better IMO).

So I tried it with Jane Carter RLIC and CK. YAY! Nice boingy, chunky curls. And very shiny.

I've always gotten limp, stringy curls when I used the BRHG alone, but have always had good luck when mixing it with other gels. I never did find it curl enhancing, though. It's been awhile since I've used it alone, though, so might have to try it again.

I've been using BRHG almost every day-just a dime-size amount over other styling products, and I think it is curl enhancing for me in terms of reducing frizz and keeping the definition that I usually can get prior to drying and leaving the house. I don't believe the ingredients to ultimately be curl-enhancing-it merely keeps my ringlets from frizzing out and fading away...yeah, I know, I don't always make too much sense....
